"Why are you doing this to me?," I yelled. I ran out the door, slamming it shut and rattling the doorway. I plugged my earphones in and forced myself to take deep breaths. I could hear my mother yelling at me to come back, but I didn't turn around.
What was my parents' problem? Every time that I begin to settle down, come out of my shell and make new friends, my parents always find some excuse to move again. First, it was the town is too small. Next, it was the city was too dangerous. Then, it was the neighborhood that was too dangerous. Last time, it was that they got new jobs.
This time, I'm determined not to move. I'm eighteen years old, and I will go where I damn well feel like. They couldn't force me to move anymore, and I won't let myself leave. Not this time.
