Chapter 1 :The call

Vorkun was born into a warrior elf family. He was born with bluish silver hair and piercing ice blue eyes. His parents were confused but in the end accepted the oddity. Being born in a family like that, he was to be trained to use whatever weapon he chose out of the armory. From silver great swords to heavy maces he looked through them all, until a single glimmer in a group of blades caught his eye. He grasped a midnight blue katana and as soon as his hand touched it, a burning pain went through his palm and all throughout his arm. He fainted and crumpled to the ground

When the pain subsided he was still on the floor grasping his arm. His eyesight was blurry and all of his other senses were the same. He looked at his palm and saw a old Nordic symbol on his hand. The katana that had been on the ground had the same symbol on the hilt. The symbol on his palm seemed to be burned in. “What the hell is this?” he said studying his palm closely.

“I have never seen anything like it” said Necris as she felt it. Necris was the clan doctor and one of Vokun’s lifelong friends. Vorkun got up slowly and looked around. He felt more alert, as though his senses were elevated and he felt more powerful “Don’t get up too quickly, you took a pretty big hit on the head when you fell.”

He could feel it all come back to him in a swarm. The pain of the blue katana “Wait, the katana” he whispered under his breath. “What did you say?” said Necris. “Right before I fell I touched a Midnight blue katana with the same exact symbol on the hilt as on my hand!” said Vorkun.

He got up and started walking and the doctor followed, curious about the sword that would have given a mark such as the one on his hand. They arrived and the sword was still there. Looking at it, they were careful not to touch it in case it would happen again.

Urging him to pick it up and make it his. “The sword seems to call to me in some way and any weapon that calls to me like that I must have as my own to help others.” Said Vorkun. The sword seemed to emanate a power showing him a new immense feeling making him know he was right

His hand flew to the handle, the doctor was behind him ready to catch him if he were to fall.Yet he didn’t, he stood tall seeming of new energy. He pulled up the katana and the sheath with it. Looking it over, he was surprised to see it was perfectly sized for him and as soon as he did he took a few swings.

Finally having a weapon chosin he was trained until he beat his father in a battle and when he did he was able to leave the village. Since the village was small and a new doctor had been trained, Necris asked to come along.Vorkun knowing the benefits and wanting company agreed.

Happy to be able to leave and to have a doctor as well as a friend on the trip. He knew the journey was only beginning.
