PROLOGUE & ABOUT

She was hurriedly grabbing Amir from his crib.

“Saara I can explain,” Asad barked from the entrance which startled Saara, after eyeing him for a good amount of time, she got back with marching towards the door while avoiding the male figure standing along the entrance.

She bravely tried trespassing Asad but eventually, he places his hand on her tiny waist which got even tinier because of her extreme weight loss, she tried slapping his hand away but his grip on her got firmer, he turned her around so that she was facing him.

“Saara, please listen to me,” he said in a more calmer tone because he expected it, this kind of behavior was not something surprising to Asad he knew one day or the other he’ll have to face this.

“Asad, not a word, I don’t want your explanations,” she decided to give it a one more try and tried pushing him again with her free hand, her palm digging in his chest but as expected it was all in vain he didn’t even budge.

“Saara calm down, think about Amir he needs me as much he needs you” she tried to remove his hand from her waist but failed again because this time he pulled her closer to him,

“I and Amir never needed you, we were happy without you and we’ll be happy”

“Saara pl..” she didn’t let him complete

“Stop convincing me I will never listen to you, I can’t stay with a murderer, your hand, get it off me it has been stained with the blood of innocents”

“Yes I’m a killer, but I kill only those who try to kill me, do you understand that” he barked at her.

“How could you justify your sins”

This was enough to get Asad completely mad, he forcefully snatched Amir from her, ignoring her screams and cries.

He handed the baby to one of his mens who was present at the entrance and was waiting for his boss to call him,

After his man was all gone with the baby in his hands he turned to Saara who was constantly trying to escape his grip.

“Stop your useless attempts of escaping from here because you know you can’t do that”

“Asad please don’t harm him, if something happened to him I won’t be able to live”

He pulled her into his chest and hugged her tightly,

“you think I’ll cause him harm, how can you think like that he’s my son I won’t even let a scratch come to him”

He felt Saara slumping in his arms, he understood all this stress was affecting her health, without wasting a second he lifted her in his arms while her body cradled on his chest, the first thing he felt was how much light she weighed, indeed she did lose a lot of weight.

“Don’t worry Saara now I’m here, I’m gonna make everything okay”
