I could smell the sun and the dust. I was there. I was in church I could hear the singing. This is a book that transports me home. Thank you"
Review 1 - Chap 1- 4
"The writer has a distinct descriptive style that I appreciate. I enjoy the images that come to mind, especially in the first chapter when the room is described - earth covered floor. I think all four chapters are building up to a climax and are providing context. I already feel like I know the characters. I can relate to the character of Thami, who is stuck in a difficult position and Nana who is left behind to balance things out. I may be wrong but for me this is Nana's story. I look forward to what the writer has next. I think the story is ready to move to the next stage and toward some sort of inciting incident that will bring calll these characters to action."
