Chapter 1
"This is your dress last night, its completely pressed. And there's a car outside, waiting for you to take you home. Or wherever you wishes to go," Aya Lee, the personal assistant of Ryan Jeon explained the words nicely to the lady in front of her.
"Aw thank you," Natalie Kim, or to be more specific, another girl of Ryan's one night stand smiles and get her party dress from Aya. "By the way, there's no need for a car. I already called my driver."
"Alright, if so I'll be excusing myself. Have a nice day, miss." Aya is about to leave when Natalie called her. "Hey, Aya."
"Yes, miss?"
"When did your boss leave? He wasn't here earlier. Can I have his number?"
"Miss Natalie, apparently my boss is the type to stick to the one night stands rules so, I'm sorry." Aya said. "You know, someone gorgeous like you definitely deserves someone better than my boss. He's kind of a jerk."
Aya's words got Natalie almost laugh her ass off in the suite's bathroom. Honestly, she only heard the rumor of Ryan's assistant is an amazing woman but hell, she's even better in real life! Natalie grabs her makeup brush and look at Aya.
"But you know how they said about bad guys in bed.. He's so hot last night, you have no idea." She winked, and Aya laughed. She heard about this way too much. To be honest, its so gross but whatever, this is a part for her job. Weird things you do for the money. However, she plays along anyway, "So I've been told, miss. From all that protein and meat only."
"Oh God, I've never met a cool assistant like you! You know, we could be best friends." Natalie nudged Aya's shoulder playfully. "If you ever think of finding a new, fabulous job with a higher pay, you are always welcomed to come to my company."
"That's so sweet, I'll think about it in the future.. But now I'm all good working with Mr Jeon."
"For sure you are, girl."
After she gets her business done, Aya drives heading to Jeon's household, where Ryan's mom is demanding to have a breakfast with her youngest son today. But knowing her boss too damn well, Aya dial his number and put the airpods on. Its ringing for a moment before Ryan answers her call.
"Hello?" The sleepy voice hits her. Aya rolls her eyes, he's still sleeping- ohmygod I can't believe this guy.
"Boss I'm on my way to pick up your mom. I can't believe you're still sleeping when I already turned on the reminder in your phone yesterday."
"Oh shit- I completely forgot about that!" Ryan clumsily gets off the bed. "Ouch,"
"Is everything okay over there?" Aya asks when she heard something fell. Probably Ryan. "I will buy you some time but you got to hurry, I'm arriving at your mom's house."
"I just fell- alright thanks Aya. Don't hang up and update your status for me. I'm so not going to the club anymore," Ryan said and got Aya sighing deeply. "Stop lying, boss. No one gonna believe that."
"I shqwear shat am sot ghoing shanymowe." Aya could that he is brushing his teeth, and she scrunches her nose. "Its gross, Mr Jeon. Go and get ready, stop delaying your time. You can't make her wait for you if you want to live alone."
"Don't ever hang up, alright?"
"Boss I've been working for you like almost five years already, did I ever end the call while you're talking?" Aya said, continuing. "Stat. I just passed the security check. 50 meters to Mrs Jeon."
"Wait, where's my tie?"
"Second drawer from the left. Arriving to the destination." Aya calmly said and park the car.
"God, I can never find anything in this new closet. Where's my wristwatch at, Miss Lee?"
"Near the mirror, oh my God is it your house or mine?" Aya almost lost her shit there. He's too needy at some point. She ignores Ryan's reply and greet Mrs Claudia Jeon. "Good morning, ma'am. Are you ready to go?"
"Aya, its been a long time!" Mrs Claudia pulls Aya for a hug. Yes, Aya is really close with Jeon's family as their company was the owner of the foundation that funds the orphanage where she grew up in. It was so nice of them to trust her by offering this important job to her after college. That is why she's doing her best to do her job.
"Stat. Your mom is in the car right now. It would be suspicious if I keep whispering to you so you're on your own, okay? I need to drive." Aya said.
"Okay, keep my mom entertained. Thanks, Aya."
"Yeah and don't forget to heat the hangover soup in your kitchen. You don't want to meet her like that. I'll take the longer route to the restaurant."
"Have I ever said how much I love you, Miss Lee?"
"Oh I would love to hear that as a raise in my paycheck. Okay end call." She ends the call, and get into the car. Mrs Claudia avert her attention from the phone to Aya who is in the driver's seat.
"Are you busy, Aya? I'm sorry for making you come all the way here. Mr Jeon booked our driver to the airport."
"Not at all, ma'am! It was Ryan, asking if we're on our way." Aya smiles to her. "Okay let's go, shall we?"
Arriving in front of the restaurant, Aya exhales a deep sigh when she saw Ryan waiting for them. He probably arrived at the same time as them.
"Good morning, my ladies." Ryan hugs his mom and wink to Aya while he's at it. As Mrs Jeon is escorted by the restaurant's staff inside, Ryan slower down his pace and walk besides his assistant. "That was really close. Do I look okay?"
"Yeah, good. But your tie is a bit.." She suddenly close their distances and fix his tie. Ryan's chuckles got her looking at him, judging that guy. "What?"
"I thought you're gonna kiss me or something,"
"You've got to be kidding me, Mr Jeon." Aya rolls her eyes and walk faster, catching up to Mrs Claudia.
"Who knows.." Ryan laughed. "Wait for me!"
