Prologue.
“Y/n, I swear if you’re still on your ass-“
Lisa cursed under her breath as she ran down the stairs. I was sitting on the couch. Wrapped in a blanket even though it was melting outside.
“What did you do with all my cereal?” She asked. Her teeth gritted slightly from frustration.
“I ate it.” I said bluntly. I dropped my hand into the bag of potato chips.
“Are you kidding me?” She scoffed. “You’ve been sitting here for the whole summer, you know?”
I nodded since I was too intrigued by the dramatic show that was currently being played across the flat screen.
Lisa sighed out before walking directly in front of the screen, blocking my view from the show.
“Um, excuse you. I’m trying to watch something.” I said annoyed. Lisa rolled her eyes and placed her hands on her hips.
“I think it’s time you get off the couch for once.” She raised her eyebrows demandingly. I sat up on the couch and pouted.
“But I don’t want to.” I whined. Lisa rolled her eyes. She walked towards me and got a grip on my hands.
She tried her best to pull me off of the couch. It didn’t work very well since I did gain some weight during the last couple of months that I spent doing nothing but stuffing my face in junk food.
“Get up.” Lisa groaned in between each word. Her body was almost folded in half by me.
“Whatever.” I sighed as I finally stood up from the couch.
I miss it already.
“Look at you. You just got out of school and here you are. Expected to go into college looking like a bag of potato chips.” Lisa eyed me up and down.
“Your not going to find a guy looking like that.” Lisa said with a cocked eyebrow.
“Oh!” I clapped my hands and sarcastically smiled.
“Is this what this is all about? You being concerned about my love life. I’m doing great for you information, sweetie.” I rolled my eyes and slumped back into the couch.
“That’s a lie.” Lisa scoffed.
“All you do is sit around. Why don’t you go out or something?” Lisa recommended. I looked at her and shook my head.
“And go out in this hot weather? I think not.” I scoffed. Lisa massages her temples trying to keep from ripping my head off.
“Fine then. How about this, you can take some of my money and go out to eat while I set something up for you.” Lisa said with a smug look.
“Oh no. I don’t trust you.” I said as I crossed my arms. Lisa smiled and clapped her hands together.
"Its either free nuggets or stay here with some left over pizza." Lisa crooked an eyebrow. I exhauled a big breath.
"I get unlimited amounts of nuggets then ill let you set something up for me." I mocked. Lisa hesitated for a second.
"Deal."
