“Jungkook you are dumb!”

“You disgusting thing..”
“Your brain are slower than my wify!”
Jungkook hugged his knees while using both of his hand closing his ear from hearing anymore painful words hitting his young soul. A 12 year old kid doesn’t have to be this mean to their friends. It’s generally considered to be the sad fact he has to face from his friends since he was born to live. He heard their feet slowly fade away at the same time as the voices.
But comes with another angry stomping step shouting “His brain is faster than the Hubble Space Telescope sending radio waves to earth space station!!” She shouted. He heard the sound of rocks being thrown around and he heard right. She was throwing rocks to the boys. They saw her throwing rocks from far as they slowly went far from Jungkook but it turns 180 when she came down and start chasing them herself.
After she make sure that the boys were gone, she smiles and pat his head. “Hey.. No one can hurt you anymore..im here..” Jungkook flinched with her touch and back away from her resulting him falling down on his bump. She laughed muttering him being cute. Jungkook keep his head down.

The girl who he realized in the same batch as him but in the other class began to take a sit beside him. He moved a little bit away from her. She flipped open the book and began reading it while humming few Disney’s songs. He is comfortable with the silence and so do her.
She was supposed to be cleaning the window of her class because this week is their last day at school for this term but came to naught when she saw Jungkook were bullied by the boys. The girl took the chance to escape and help him. She did heard about him while studying here, he is the outcast of the school. The only student that has no friends.
Eventhough she isn’t quite close with her classmates, she is famous among the seniors with her talents. She won few competitions such as archery, black belt in taekwondo, and piano competition. She was ranked right at the top in her batch. She had few secret admirers but she think that she wont need it in the mean time.
To her, the love of intellectual is much more needed than any love from men.
It took awhile as the time flew by. She turned her face around meeting with a rather shock Jungkook who was caught peaking at the content of her book. He immediately look down at the ground. She smiles at him and scoot closer to him. She place the book on his lap. Jungkook didn’t touch the book and look at her in fear.
His eyes asking for permission as she widely smiles and nod her head “Go on..”

He had keep his eye on her since the very day she came into his class to deliver his calculus teacher: Mr Jae’s books. The way her eyes sparkled when she smoothly solved a question that everyone seemed to have trouble in. He was amazed with her intelligence. Taehyung always makes sure no one can disturb her. Little did she know he secretly protects her from behind. Sadly,eventhough he wanted her all by himself, he always plays with other woman.
Jungkook stuttered “W-whats this?” Jihee grins. “Thats our heart” he took awhile before his brain processed her words. His hand slowly touch his chest. She chuckles at his behavior and place her hand on top of his and move it to the left. “Eventho many people think that heart located in the middle of our chest, it actually more to the left. Since we have lungs in the middle. From our esophagus to here..”
Taehyung scowl and walk out of the class. He ran down the stairs ignoring the fact that he just skipped class. He turn to the corner with the scene of her giggling talking to the unresponsive Jungkook. He felt a pang of jealous in his heart as he keep walking.
“Kim Jihee!”
The girl turn her face to the angry deep voice “Taehyung sunbae?” Tae grab her wrist making her stand up. Jungkook behind her abruptly stands too. She crouched down and took her book on the ground. Her wrist are still intact gripped by Tae. Not giving her enough time, Tae dragged her away further from Jungkook.
Jungkook look down on the ground. Her pinned name badge fell when Tae grab her. He placed her name inside his pocket before slowly walking to his class.
They walked past hallways and empty classrooms. Taehyung pushed the storage room’s door and drag her inside. Jihee looked at Tae confused with his actions. “S-sunbae?” Thats what make Tae likes her a lot. She doesn’t call him oppa or such things but sunbae. Thats the differences between her and other girls.
Taehyung placed his hand inside his pocket “Why are you talking with the boy?” She rolled her eyes “Come on Taetae. He is nice. I just want to get to know hi-” She was cut when Taehyung pin her to the wall “Dont be like this to anyone else you get it?” Jihee looked at his chest avoiding his intense eyes “Okay..”
Tae sighed at her soft attitude. He ruffles her hair “I dont want people to take advantage over my Jihee alright..” The young Jihee hugged him which he gladly takes it. “You scared me.” Jihee is younger than him by two years. To her, Tae is like her brother. And tae knew he was Sibling-zoned by her.

The school break comes. Jihee strolled down the park with her bicycle. Her soft pink basket are filled with a yogurt cup and a thick Heart Diary book. The book she surely going to finish it by tonight. It has few more hundred pages but with two hour of concentrating, she is able to finish it all. She parked her bicycle and lean on the bark of the tree.
She scoop in a spoonful of fruit yogurt while reading the book. The time goes by as she flip one page to another. Jihee sighed and look up meeting with a figure she known a lot. “Jungkook?” He was eating icecream with two bodyguards trailed behind him. Hearing his name, he turns around meeting her gaze. He mutters her name softly “Kim Jihee?..”
She didn’t acknowledge about the two suited men behind him as they were seated two bench away from him. She approached him and sat beside Jungkook. She flashes him a smile “Hey..” Jihee look at the smudge of ice cream near his lips. Without no hesitation, she wipes it away with her finger. Jungkook was stunned. Even the two men’s watching them were stunned. No one had approached him that way.
She laughed at his reaction.” Sorry.. There was a smudge on your lips. I was just cleaning it. You look like a 5 year old kid..” He frowned at her remark. Jihee pinched both of his cheek triggering the two men behind. “5 year old kid is cute. But you are cuter~~” Jungkook let a loud huffing sound. He mumbles “Dont do that.”
Jihee apologized and showed him the book. “Do you know that we have four valves in our heart? Valves are-” He cut her “Valves are made to make sure that the blood will run one way. There are four chambers in the heart and four valves. The Mitral Valve - separating the left atrium and the left ventricle.”
He continues as her widened eyes turn slowly getting sparkled. She was amazed. Amazed would be an understatement. “The Aortic Valve- Controlling the flow from the left ventricle to the body, The Tricuspid Valve- Separating the right atrium and the right ventricle. She look down to her book. Did he just quoted it from-? She flipped the page hurriedly and read it.
She gasped “How the hell?” Jungkook tilt his head. Since when he could remember the whole thing? Well, maybe because he never tried reading. All he spend was 20 seconds of flipping her book that day and he is able to remember it all.
Jungkook shaked his head not knowing the reason. She tested out with another book. “Now read this.”
Jungkook unwillingly read the book that she shoved onto his lap sighing.
Jihee glanced at her watch for 15 seconds allowing him to read as he flips the pages slowly. “Okay times up! Now tell me what you have read. ”
He take a deep breath remembering those words like it was some computer typed words and phrases as his brain cells work faster than any RAM of any PC. “Page 278, The guide of German History, Juan Hossel. She look at the yogurt cup between her hands “I just had a hunch that you are a prodigy.”
He puckered his lips. Could anyone care to explain what is prodigy to this slow brain of his?
She waited for his reply but then, glancing at her watch, Jihee gasped “Mom is going to kill me!” No, she’s not late or what, its just 4 pm and she promised her mother to help her baking.
Jihee placed the book on his lap. “Take care of this for me. You must read it and tell me everything that i havent read yet. Amaze me Jungkook.”
She ruffles his hair “See you when the school opens!” Jihee quickly rides her bicycle going back home leaving the lonely Jungkook with her book.
