"I've read a lot of Snape and Harry fanfiction, so I was struggling to find something new that was good and completed. When I came across this story, I could not put it down; it was magnificent. Too many authors either bash Snape or praise him without any flaws, but I felt that this writer managed to balance the human that Snape is, while also taking into account everyone's subsequent reactions. I felt that the reactions were genuine to their characters, which is difficult to accomplish with the saturation of fanfiction of not only Snape and Harry but also of the other characters. The work and dedication that it took to write this story was most definitely reflected in the outcome: it is now one of my top favorite Snape and Harry fanfictions."
Could totally be a legit HP book
"Honestly, I stumbled upon this story in search of some Snarry fanfiction and I couldn't stop reading it (stayed up all night, had this knocked out within 24 hours of starting it). Even though it ended up falling into a "Severitus" style story (which I don't *mind*, though I do prefer Snarry), I was enthralled by the plot and writing style. This fic managed to make me believe in a Harry/Ginny pairing (I don't think the canon really made it click for me and the movies sure as hell didn't). What really had me was the way you wrote Snape and Harry's interactions and thought processes, making them feel true to the canon whilst diverging from the canon. You could totally have handed me this story instead of the HBP novel and I would have been like, no this one, this one is better, That and it does away with that silly horcrux bs and makes Malfoy into more of a menace than he achieved in the books, the same with Voldemort. I liked how the reveal for Prof. Ryan didn't come til the end and how I could argue both ways what side he was on. But anyway, totally enjoyed myself, despite it not being my normal fare! Great job and thank you for sharing! <3<3<3"
