Chapter 1
As an overwhelming burst of light shined into my eyes, Ren ran to grab me and pushed me out of the way. “Nooo!” I reached for him but he was too far away from me. My shoulder hit the ground, hard. I heard screaming from behind. "Lidia, I'm sorry but I have to do this for your own safety." I pushed up onto my arms to see Ren running away from the light. His jacket flashing between his arms and his headphones flashed bright blue. He stopped running and faced me. I got up onto my feet. I walked towards the light. My hand went in first, then my leg. my whole body after that. It looked like I was going into another world. I felt sleepy, so I just closed my eyes.
I opened my eyes to see myself still in the light. "Ren?" my voice was thick with sleep. "Ren. Can you hear me?" I heard voices in front of me. "Lidia, you must forget him. He is no longer apart of your life. You must move on." I heard crashing sounds. "Stop you can't do that. She is mine and you can't take her away from me. Well, you can but I'm going to do something that you will never like. Like I'm going in here."
Something slithered through the light. His face looked older. Wrinkles in place near his eyes. looked like he hasn't been asleep in a while. "Ren, is that you?" he nodded his head. "It has been 10 years since I have seen you." My eyes widened. "My friends have said that it has been a year." He shook his head. "Sadly but no. I am 20 years old. You look like you are about 14. I am married." He paused, letting me take in the information. I put my hand on his chest and looked into his blue, gray eyes. I pushed. He fell through the light and heard him hit the floor. But I wanted to go to my home. I felt light seep into my skin. I put my hand in my hair and pulled it into a tight ponytail. I had a few strands of hair fall beside my face. I pushed up my bangs on top of my head. "Wincoasta, Jeeran, and Karmen I need you." Three different portals opened up. A boy with black hair was sitting at his desk, and he looked up to see me in front of him. he jumped up and knocked over his chair. "Oh you got me good, so hows goin in there, like it?" he smiled. A younger looking girl with brown and black hair stood next to me painting on her canvas. "hi Win!" She looked surprised that I was there. "Hi, Lidia! how is it going in there, I heard it has been comfy being in there!" I laughed. "It is really comfy for me. Hold on a sec, I'm trying to reach jeeran but he's not picking up. Do you know where he is?" She shook her head. "No, I don't know. Hey, do you have Karmen on with you? You two are perfect for each other!" she snickered. I laughed again. "hi Win." I moved the portal over to where they could see each other. "Okay, okay, so I just found out that Ren my friend is 20 years old and He said that I looked like I was 14. Crazy right?"
I looked at them. They both were silent. A portal opened in front of my face. "Hi, Lid! sorry for not answering your calls, I was just running and I had left my portal call at my house. So why you call me?" I looked at him. He looked different. He had darkened his white hair, his skin was a little darker than usual. I was in a daze it seemed like because he asked me again. "So why you call me?" I blinked a few times. " I just got the news that ren Is 20 and he thinks that I am 14." he blinked. I moved his portal behind me.
