"Not usually much into historical fiction, but I had a really had a hard time putting it down. Definitely a must read, I LOVED this book! It's set in the 185s, when slavery was still running rampant in the USA. What's a slave owner's daughter to do when she is against slave ownership? If intrigued, read this book! It's definitely a good book, and I highly recommend it to be read, even if you're not into historical fiction or not you might still enjoy it. The author went into a lot of details that made you feel like you were right there as it was happening. Well done, M.L. Bull!!"

"I loved theis book because it portrayed the only right way of living, freedom and equality for all whether they be black or white. It also highlighted the terrible misfortunes black people went through and help others understand, that the colour f the skin doesn't matter but the colour and intent f the soul."
