a short story
Have you ever left something behind, a friend, a plan, etc.. well I can tell you I have. It was but 15 years ago and well it was my crush. Now some people might think *wow cheesy* but I really liked him. The name you ask, well let’s call him Em. It is actually a funny story on how the crush started.
It was the 2nd day of school and my 5th-grade class was outside playing kickball. Anyway it was the 5th run and my team was up to pitch and the pitcher was me. Of course, my team captain thought that I was too bad to pitch and that’s when a brawl took place. after 2 minutes Em yelled, “Just let the little girl pitch.”Now in 5th grade, I was very sensitive so I yelled back” I AM NOT LITTLE!” Just then the bell rang signaling the end of recess the other team 3 us 2.
When we got back into the classroom I told my teacher what went down in the kickball court. After a long talk, my teacher finally said for everyone who was mean to me to write me a note. But the only note I got back was from Em, this is where our story begins. After 2 years of a not-so-secret crush, my parents told me we were going to be homeschooled. I was heartbroken.
During the year of homeschooling, I decided to write notes to him telling him how I feel. In every letter I wrote to him I asked for him to reply. Of course, I knew that he would never like me I was ugly and dumb, but most of all I was lonely. I tore up my yearbook the next day and threw it into my school desk. Six months later my I was going through my school desk and found his picture at the bottom.
I guess what I am trying to say is, Girls, don’t hide from your crushes. Just hope that one day he will notice you not by your physical appearance but by your heart, also if you follow your dreams they’re sure to come true. You might be asking what had happened to Em and to me well we are now both in college and are dating, in fact, tonight he is taking me out on a date to a very fancy restraint but that is a story for another time.
