Prologue

My breathe hitched as I can see the torches of the villagers from afar. "Aaaargh! Go get her!" one of them shouted as they continue to advance and look for me.

I wore my cloak's hood properly and stood behind a wall calming myself from the anxiousness I've been feeling since the time I started escaping like crazy.

"There she is! Catch her and do not let her escape!" it was the coven's leader for I could correctly recognize his voice. Damn! I was spotted already?!

I run while catching my breathe. I passed through a lot of houses and ridges of the streets until I had reached the coven's gate.

"Close the f*ckin gate!" the coven leader ordered.

I spit a curse as I tried to run faster. I slipped through the gate just in time it has been closed. I let out a sigh and started to jug out of the territory.

I felt the something was being ripped and so I looked at my back and saw my cloak pinned and stuck in the gate's sharp ends. This was my favorite cloak! What the hell?!

I untied the strings and took my cloak off. The roars of the enraged villagers gets louder and louder. I charged away despite the burning sensation that I feel on my chest.

This chase felt so endless. My feet hurts so bad and skin's got a lot of scratches from the twigs, thorns and branches in the woods. I chase the moonlight out of the woods. The roaring never stopped and fear never left my body.

I heard the crunching sound of rocks as I took one step back. I looked and saw that I am on a dead end, the sea cliff. The fire shone brightly from the villagers torches and the grin on their faces sends shivers on my spine. A tears escaped my eyes as I took another step back.

I fall from the cliff and now the sharp huge stones below awaits me as the villager would happily witness my death.

"Nondum..." (Translation: Not yet) I heard a faint voice out of nowhere.

A glint of hope appeared and wiped off the hopelessness in my heart. Getting myself together, I chanted a spell to summon a portal that will take me somewhere safe.
