Should be continued

You seem like a strong writer, and I liked this story up until the final paragraph. I was disappointed that it includes a woman screaming. That feels like it's taking the story in the wrong direction - at least to me. Women being threatened happens so much in fiction that it's not intriguing. I would like to know more about this man. What happened that led to him being blind, at least emotionally? Does he realize this is happening to him? Does he have insight into what's going on. I hope you'll decide to restart this, but take it in a direction that doesn't involve a woman being threatened. You write well. I think I only spotted one typo. I hope to see you post something in the future."
