My daddy always spoke to me kindly, showing me the love of two parents. I loved him so very much. I also loved the fields of flowers. I made flower crowns on the huge field known as our backyard. I danced around in my long dresses, acting like a princess. My dad told me I was special, and I thought so too. One of my eyes glowed a bright green, and the other was a ocean blue. When I looked at myself in the mirror, or in pictures I noticed my skin glowed, Even if I put my hand up to my face it glowed. Whenever a laughed my eyes turned a pretty shade of pink. My dad told me to never be afraid, but that was hard...Really hard. I ignored the fact I was different sometimes, because I was only five, I was too ‘young’ to be worrying about life...But I was curious, and I couldn’t help myself sometimes.

Chapter 1

I skipped down the flower path, Pretending I was some beautiful princess. I rolled down hills, and played with bunnies. I was having the best time, Until.....My dad called me in. “Hey, Love ... Wanna go have some fun, or go for a ride?” He asked forcing a smile, but I was too young to know, or understand the difference between a smile, a fake smile, a forced smile, or a sad smile.

We went on a long car ride. My dad got me everything I wanted, He even took me to the park for a little bit...

After a long ride of sleeping I woke up, and my daddy had tears streaming down his face. Was I the one making him cry like this? What was wrong?

We got out of the car at a place that had a ginormous sign that said, O-R-P-H-A-N-A-G-E ... Strange name. A nice lady greeted us at the desk, but I didn’t pay attention to what they were saying, I watched girls my age, younger and older, messing around...Actually, the younger ones were messing around...While, the others walked from class, to class...Or whatever they called it here.

“Cherrianne, Listen to me Hun.” My dad said, his hands were trembling, like he was afraid...

“Yes Daddy?” I said, putting my best smile on.

“I’m afraid, This is your new home...For now...”

“What? Why, Daddy? Why!?” I started to panic.

He softly got up, no hug, no smile, no silly nickname, not even our crazy handshake. He left without a trace of love, and that got me thinking;

He left me, With nothing. At all. My family never loved me. Mom left when I was born with my twin brother, and now... five years later, Dad leaves me here with all these strangers. Why? Why me? I feel so alone.

I grew up, I stopped with the dumb childish laughter, I stopped with the toys, I stopped having fun, I stopped smiling. I was done, no buts. Just Done. Done. Done. Done.
