As soon as the reach the office she is pulled into a tight hug by her crying, older sister Morgan.
“What’s wrong?“, she asks worriedly as to why her strong, brave older sister was crying.
“Grammy... Something happened to Grammy...“, Morgan sniffles out trying to pull herself together for the sake of her younger sister.
A perplexed look crosses Leah’s face as the head out to the car with her dad. Thoughts race through her head the entire trip home and when they get there cars are parked all down the street and in the yard. Dashing inside she find people standing throughout the house, every time she passes by the look down and shake their heads sorrowfully. Leah looks toward her grandmother’s door which was once open is now shut, yet she can hear the sound of several people crying from behind the door. Slowly she makes her way towards the door and it felt as if time had come to almost a complete stop as she opens the door.
End Flashback
Ever since that day all Leah has felt is emptiness and no sense of direction. Years went by and nothing changed until her mother decided it would be best to put her back into society at a private school. Nothing seemed to work for a now 14 year old Leah as she stood out from the rest of the students and was a bit to aggressive during PE.
“Seems like we have a mouse out on the field boys... I think we should get rid of it before it tears up the school...“, one of the boys had said before getting punched in the jaw by a seething Leah.
“I’m nothing like a mouse... I prefer wolf since I don’t do circus tricks like you do”, she snarled while getting hauled off to the principals office.
Nothing seemed to change...
As the seasons change we come to the beginning of our story as now 15 and a half year old Leah chats with a friend of hers that she just met on the internet.
KingofDeath: Hey whats up

WolfQueen: I usually listen to country music and stuff....
KingofDeath: country? Srsly... I quit listening to that old stuff a long time ago...
WolfQueen: really??? I haven’t been able to find anything else to listen to...
KingofDeath: Try listening to the bands I named and see if you like them
Leah quickly searches throughout her music app till she finds the first band he had mentioned. Clicking on the first song, she sits back in her seat listening to the catchy music humming along as the second round of the chorus came along.
Are you mine?
Are you mine?
Are you mine?
Are you mine?
She stops at the sound of someone banging on her bedroom door over the music coming from her earbuds.
“Yes?”, Leah I just want to let you know we are going to the store and the kids are coming with us if you want to come too?“, her mom asks poking her head into her room.
Leah shakes her head no and turns back to her computer screen where here Geometry lesson is opened up on,“I need to get this finished...“.
With the house all to herself she unplugs her earbuds and presses play on the music.
