[Her point of view]
She sat back on the back of the car. The car engine roars to life, signal the driver is ready to drive.
“Buckled in ma’am?” The driver asked her while looking back at her.
“Yes.” She said, looking at the driver.
“Alright.” The driver said, now facing the front of the car ready to drive to her destination.
She watches from the passengers’ window, seeing the car moving. It was raining. She watches as the building pass by. One, in particular, caught her eye. The hospital. The place where her grandma is at and the only family member she has left who don’t wanna harm her. The only person she could only trust. The only person she acknowledges as her family, and her only best friend. She watches as the car stops right there in front of the hospital.
She imagined her grandma’s smile, the smile that reinsured her that everything will be alright.
She opens her eyes again and watches as the car is driving again.
She sighed.
“Is everything alright ma’am?” The driver asks, not looking back to face her but looking ahead.
“Yeah, but can you not call me ma’am, it makes me feel old.would you like it if I called you, sir? ” She said with a weak smile and gives a fake giggle as she ends her response.
“Not really. So then what would you like me to call you?” He said, and she could see a little smirk forming.
“Hmm...” She said. She was debating whether to tell the driver her real name, the nickname her grandma gave her, or a fake one. She decided to give him, her real name since it’s not a chance she’ll be back here again. Since her grandma told her not to.
