Hi J.M. Felic,
I just finished reading your story The Fancy Pants Club and I loved it so much. Your writing is amazing, and I kept thinking how cool it would look as a comic.
I really loved the Fancy Pants Club pledge sequence in the final chapter, the whole “Signed and verified… Stamped and Sealed / And chained forever…” moment. Visually it’s perfect for a comic: a slow-panel build from the formal signing to the stamp, a close-up on Daniella’s hand, then a wide, cinematic panel of the chained phrasing , it gives instant symbolism and a haunting motif I’d carry through the whole adaptation.
I also loved the climactic confrontation between Daniella and Erik Romano in the club, the clash of elegance and violence, the gunmetal flashes, the hallucinated/illusion-like party atmosphere the Club stages, and the way Erik constantly strips away Daniella’s certainty. That scene is ideal for dynamic paneling (strobing lights, angled close-ups, overlapping dialogue balloons) and dramatic pacing , it would translate into high-impact action pages that still keep the intimate tension between them.
I’m a commissioned artist, and I’d love to draw your story into a comic/manga. No pressure though, I just think your work would look awesome in comic form.
