SHADOW IN THE DIAMOND WATER

UNEDITED

I felt my eyes burning. A sharp familiar pain Cascading across the skin of my eye lids. Quickly disturbing my warming sleep, awakening my whole body from brain to bone. One eye flutters open to see the culprit injuring my poor eyes. The next thing i know the sun is shedding itself across my room, through my curtains, filling itself through the amount of space available for it. How wonderful, the sun, to wake me on this day. I get this unwanted feeling of leaving my bed, oh how sweet it feels to lay in these soft covers, my hair flowing in every direction over my pillows, my face staring right at the grey ceiling, wondering what this day has brought upon me. Soon enough i get the courage to swiftly shuffle my legs over my bed on the edge. I stretch my arms up till i hear the clicking of my bones, then i jump right of and grab my curtains on both sides and in one go uncover the world to me. It hit me all at once, my eyes unable to blink for a second for if i did i would miss this beauty shining right into my face. The sun glimmering in front of me, such a beautiful face it has, it spreads its happiness along all the trees and leaves, on the little lake sat right beside my house, like diamonds floating on the edge of the water.
