Adventure Awaits

They walked, shrouded by the mist as they advanced. Their footsteps leaving the only trail they could follow back. Lucky for them it seems calm today, the mist wasnt causing any problems and everything seems under control. It was only that moment that Thyme tried talking, when just a bare hissss came out of her mouth. Baz and Burnet being too far ahead she fell behind. WAIT. Her mind screeching into the distance, her scattered thoughts splitting like subatomic particles. Her thought reach Baz as he turned around and found the same phenomenon as Thyme. His expression limited to that of a silenced hiss.

Hold up, let’s take a journey. This journey involves nothing other than our bare thoughts so drop all conceptions at the start. I think your lying quite honestly, you have one remaining conception. Just leave it here okay? Alright let’s get going. As we continue to move through the mist I take you down the icy path lost in the distance. Can you see the children back there? Why of course you can’t! They aren’t children, your stupid conceptions dropped at the start obviously. Hilarious right. Alright, lets woosh on back. Cool, I’ll leave you here. Enjoy.

It had been an hour, the children had backed out of the forest. Slowly voices rasping when Thyme could get out the words very very quietly ’Serchex’. That was all they could say for about an hour. It was only when they went back to the house for a couple minutes they regained their sense. And then they realised they were back in the school, never even having left. This strange engagement with reality was exactly what they intended to study. Their brains racked around what had happened. Doubting each other and the reality they felt. Each only more curious about the other than the other. They did not think each other knew, it was a dream. Obviously, what were you thinking. But who’s dream is the important part.

What are we doing for lunch thought Burnet. Her mind racing with unanswered questions. Life’s most burning questions to a child. The simple things in life that provided a sense of security. But of course, your not here to learn, your here to know what happened! Of course, now we see Baz just sitting in the corner drawing on his desk. Of his drawings the most intricate was that of their teacher Ms. Clemons. His drawing depicted her jumping off a bridge, which of course it did as she was their teacher. Skipping to Thyme, yes fair and young Thyme. Thyme jut sitting pondering about what the other two thought about, why is life so boring.
