Introduction
Streets of New York
The streets of NYC packed as usual, with cars and people. A girl, Madison, walks down the sidewalk with her friends. On a trip to the “Big Apple” for the weekend. Her and her friends looking around at all of the buildings, admiring the views and chaos on the streets. Everyone is able to tell she’s not from a city, but from a small suburban neighborhood. Never really been out of the state, which doesn’t have any cities like this… Connecticut. Her and three friends, Max, DJ, and Mike, getting shoved by the people rushing to work.
A typical New York City boy, Crawford. Coffee in one hand, phone in the other. Texting his buddies to meet up at the local cafe for some food. Blending in with the others around him. With the classic jeans and leather jacket. He slips past everyone with ease, like he knows what’s coming ahead of him. Taking his eyes off his phone for two seconds at a time. Not anymore, not any less.
In those two split seconds, Crawford catches a glimpse of Madison. The girl looking at the people shoving past her. Then she looks up at him and is speechless. Not knowing what to do-Same with him, blank stare. Continuing to walk as they get closer to each other. And then there’s coffee on the ground, on him, on the man he walked into.
With looking at the him, “I’m so sorry.” Crawford looks back up and Madison is gone. Thinking that he’ll never see her again.
And then he pulls out his phone and so does she. Both opening snapchat to see who’s around them. Neither of them finding anything that they’re looking for, just their friends or other random teens… Cause I guess social media is the only way to find people nowadays.
