Summary

Katherine Berry loves Jonathan Levinson. Jonathan hates Katherine. Will Katherine be able to break down his walls and make him love her? Katherine Berry has loved Jonathan Levinson since time immemorial. All she has ever wanted was to break down the morbid, mopey walls he had put around himself and love him unconditionally. The only fault? He LOVES his walls. Meet Jonathan Levinson. He's your typical average teen guy. The only thing different about him being the fact that he does not socialise. At all. He hated people in general and just seems to hate Katherine Berry the most. He doesn't really do anything about it though. Because he hates getting involved. Will they find love in each other or will Katherine's heart shatter and break into pieces that she won't be able to collect?

Chapter 1

Katherine Berry was staring at Jonathan Levinson hoping that he would at least look at her. She looked at her bestfriend Allison Lawrence miserably.

“Don’t worry sweetheart. You’ll find the sense to move on sooner or later.” She said smirking.

Okay, what a bitch! Katherine thought.

She just glared at her and went, “You’re not supposed to say that. You’re supposed to say something reassuring.”

“Whatever.” came the reply. She really was insensitive. But I didn’t expect much. She only kept me around for homework and to like relieve herself of gossip she couldn’t afford to release outside.

I was about 70 kilograms which made me fat. It made me fat in the eyes of the school population. It made me healthy and curvy than the rest in my eyes. I was about 5′6, brown middle length wavy hair and dull blue eyes. I liked to think of myself as fuzzy.

So back to the moment cause Allison would kill me if I zone out again. “So what do you think of these heels?” She asked twirling in her red soled heels. I think they were Loubotims. Right?

“Yeah well. I think they’re fine. I don’t know much about heels seeing as how I don’t wear them.” I said.

“Yeah whatever” she said.

I went to the other side of the school to attend my World Lit. I heard all about Gaelic stuff and whatever shit was going on. The teacher droned on and on till I was in a lazy stupor. She didn’t even question me when I clearly wasn’t paying any attention because I knew all this stuff better than she did. Probably. I know I’m probably very very over confident but I can’t help it. Its the sad truth of our school. Nothing is as good as it is supposed to be.

Some hours later and it was lunch time and I walked slowly and miserably to the cafeteria all because my mom has the decency to pack me a lunch. It isn’t bad but the thing is that it makes me the world’s biggest loser cause my mom still packs me a lunch. Ridiculous, isn’t it?

I sat down near Allison at her basketball table. You got right! She is a basketball player and a stupid cheerleader bitch she’s supposed to be ALL AT THE SAME TIME. See what I have to deal with?

All the girls started talking about formation and facts they had to use to win the next game which would be a step forward for their championship. Allison was obviously the captain while I was the nerd who calculated probabilities and possibilities for them to have a perfect shot at winning. Did I mention I liked puns? Well, my bad.

We discussed our chances of winning which were about a hundred in a hundred because the next team had no type of formation and I could guarantee that no one could decode mine.

Just as I was about to take a sip of my drink someone pushed past my chair and I spilled my drink on my white t-shirt. Damn me for not thinking of NOT wearing white to school!

“What the fuck?!” I nearly yelled and whipped my head around to give the person a little listening to.

“You shouldn’t have worn white on the first the day of school” the pushover replied.

And it so happens, the pushover was Jonathan Levinson.

Normally I would be rendered speechless but the cold soaking in through my white tee gave me courage.

“Yeah? Well, it still doesn’t give you an out because you pushed my chair!” I screamed.

“Look, can we not make a scene?” He asked probably irritated by all my screaming. To be nice, he added,“I’ll buy you a new one.”

Me being the lovesick puppy I was, agreed. And there we go ladies and gentlemen, this is how my first experience with Jonathan Levinson ever since kindergarten was.

Allison snickered bringing me out of my heavenly bliss.

“So the nerd has a date now, does she?” She smirked.

“Its not a date Alli. He’s just being nice.” I defended.

“If you have forgotten to notice all this, then remember that Jonathan Levinson is NEVER nice to anyone.”

I pondered over that, thinking. As much as I hated this, Alli was right. He never was really nice to someone. He didn’t even acknowledge the presence of people in his life.

Finally after thinking it through, I still had no answer. Gosh he is so hard to read! Just then I thought maybe I’m not his type but i can become his kind.

And then I ran off to the History class I had next scolding myself for even thinking that.
