Chapter 2: The Lake

Neo and Mandy emerged from the chocolate, holding hands and searching the woods for their cabin.

"You're looking good, Mandy." Neo said as he squeezed his lover's hand.

Mandy pulled free of Neo and slapped him on his coconut flavored ass. "You ain't too shabby yourself." She smiled.

They followed the path to the cabin unaccosted. They made it to the cot in their room with no trouble. Mandt pulled off her dark green plastic bikini top and exposed her light green mountain tops. No problem. She exposed her lacey thong, with legs as long as licorice whips.

Neo started disrobing on the bed, his coconut protuberant hardening like, well...a coconut shell. The horny teens made out on the bed, and engaged in coitus. The logistics of the display were in question, but only to those not in the room. Two eruptions and twenty minutes later and no killer in sight.

Neo sat on the bed and lit a banana peel blunt. He looked over at his girl and smiled.

"You want a beer, Mandy?"

Mandy held out her hand and Neo handed her the blunt.

"Sure, baby."She took a toke and breathed in deeply.

Neo got up and headed for the kitchen. The cabin was pretty spacious, with two floors, six bedrooms, and a full bathroom on the second floor. A half bathroom, kitchen, storeroom and living room on the first.Neo pranced around in his shiny foil boxers, walking past the bedrooms two at a time.He looked down the stairs and saw noone. He crept downstairs without a care in the world. That's when it happened.

Chaste saw his father coming at him with his own bat. The bat they used to play baseball on Jim's good days. Now, held in a menacing way. Chaste ran up the stairs and slammed his door shut. He didn't have much in ways of door braces. His weapon was already gone. The best he could do, was hope he slipped on one of his toys. He ran and hid under the bed. If this was a movie, he would have another weapon or a another room to hide in. And most likely a lock on his door to build the suspense.Unfortunately this was Chaste's world, not Cunningham Studios. The door slammed open and split down the middle when it hit the wall.

This is it. Chaste thought.

In a second his bed was overturned and he was left vulnerable. Jim gritted his teeth, raised the bat and...

--THUD--

Chocolate rained on Chaste as he lay cowering with his hands on his head for protection.

What happened?

A deep growl left Jim's astonished mouth as they all realized what had happened. Half of the back of Jim's head was gone, the jello brain exposed and broken. The other half of Jim's brain found its way to Wanda's rolling pin. Chaste looked up and found murder for the first time. Wanda also found murder and a new sense of power. Never again would someone hurt her or her boy. Wanda looked down at her son and smiled.

Never Again

Neo creaked on the seventh step. Then a machete shot up through the stair and cut Neo in half, starting with his swizzle stick and caramel eggs. It traveled further up and coconut jelly shot out of his ever increasing gash. Further, and his coconut bones cracked and split. The machete reached his chocolate heart and it split and shot chocolate all over the steps. Chaste swayed Neo backward on the steps with the blade and yanked it back through the step. Neo's head caught a second attack and from slow motion you could see a blade making his nose ever bigger. Finally, his head looked like a split log. Once white, now jello oozed over the step. Chaste resheaved his machete.

Moulinnn: The reality of abuse is so grim that sometimes it cannot be comprehended easily through words. But this book does a wonderful job of framing the correct narrative - abuse is not love.
