Chapter One

Jenna’s point of view.

Two days from now is my 18th birthday, the day I am supposed to go and live in his court, to become his wife, forced to mate without knowing if he is even my one true mate. Don’t get me wrong I’ve known Will my entire life but with werewolves you can only find your mate when you become of age. That age I turn in two days and today I am loosing my home my family and my life to ensure peace between our two packs our two kingdoms. What do I know about bringing peace except I am a pawn in this entire thing.

I am finishing packing my things and I can already feel my tears starting to flow. I don’t know what to expect when I arrive at the court of his father, King Marcus. I have heard rumors of what they call me. “The Ice Princess” so frigid and prudish my heart is made of ice. I know this not to be true. I am just really shy. My brother Jake is the outgoing one of the family, the natural leader. I have been at home in nature and with my horses. Horses are the one thing I can relate to. The freedom the provide from this life of strict rules and protocols. Oh how I wish I could be free to live and ride with no other cares in the world.

“Jenna, come on we have to get going. “ my brother calls.

“Jake, please don’t let mother and father send me there. I will be miserable. I will be all alone with a womanizing playboy of a prince. Will,is nothing but a drunken whore of a man. “

“Jenna

you know we can’t back out now. We have to much riding on the completion of this arrangement. You will marry Will. “ He states.

“But what if he’s not my mate.”

“Make it work”

Those are the last words my brother says to me before we head out to my destined prison.
