Chapter 1
My life wasn't a perfect life from starting as I always felt like that something was missing but I never knew that when i will get that missing thing , my life would become complicated. So let's start with the begining when for the first time , i saw love of my life.
It was first day of college after summer vacation. I was doing engineering from DIT University , Dehradun. Hanging bag on my shoulder ,i walked inside the class room. Atmosphere was as same as before , everyone were gossiping and were telling each other what they did in summer vacations. The hot topic after summer vacation.
Passing smile to everyone , i walked toward the desk where my two best friends were sitting . I sat with my them. They hugged me tightly and told me that how much they missed me.
"Nandini , tell us what you were doing in summer vacations , you didn't even reply to our messages , where were you? You know how much we missed you " my first best buddy ,Mukti asked angrily. I knew this was coming up , that’s why i had already made myself ready to face the anger of my Mukti.
"Nandu , this time mukti anger is right , we were worried for you , you didn't informed anyone , even your parents that where you were " now my second best buddy , Abhimanyu said. His voice was clearly showing that he was worried for me.
" Guyz , i am so sorry that i didn't inform you about my decision of leaving home. But i was so stressed that day after seeing my mom and dad fighting like they are enemies , i wanted some peace and alone time. Whole summer vacation i spent in my old home" i told them everything and they gave me sad looks. They were aware about my mom and dad fights . I was grown up seeing my mom and dad fights. I got used to it but that day i didn't know what had happened to me that i took the decision of leaving my house.
"Nandu remember one thing that we are always there for you. You can share anything with us and from next time never try to leave without informing us "Mukti said strictly, holding my hand and i just hugged her. I was having only these two people in my life , who cared for me and i was glad to find them.
"Did you guyz know that a new student is going to join college from today ? I heard that he is super hot , nandu , what i am trying to say that why not you make him your boyfriend" she said winking at me. I gave angry glares to mukti as she knew that i was not interested in boys but then also every time , she always asked me to make boy friend like her. Mukti and Abhi , they were in relationship from a year and i admired them as a couple but seeing them also i never thought to come in relationship.
" Mukti , please. I don't care that the boy who is joining college is hot or not. As i am not interested in him. I mean , i am not interested to be in a relationship" i explained them clearly. But i was unaware that my words were going to be proved wrong.
The very next moment , i felt my heart started beating faster than before.
"Look , there he is " i heard Mukti's voice and looked at direction where she pointed her hand. Seeing the person standing in front of me , my heart beat stopped for a moment . I didn't know that what was happening to me. I felt some kind of connection with him. I looked into his eyes. His eyes were black and I was feeling that it wasn't the first time i was seeing those eyes. All this feeling were making me confused. I was going mad. I wasn't understanding what was happening to me and why it was happening. I never felt like this before , He was a stranger but i was feeling like i know him from ages.
He sat on first desk, left to the row where i was sitting. I was still staring at him like a fool , forgetting about everything. " What he is doing to me" my mind was asking this question from me again and again.
"Nandu , where you get lost , take out the book "listening Mukti's voice , finally i came out my thoughts and immediately took out the book and kept on the table. I tried very hard to convince my mind to don't look at him. But then also in between the class , i looked at him. He was busy in reading the book which kept in front of him on table. Like an idiot , I again got busy in looking at him. I didn't know why i couldn't keep my eyes away from him.
Not only that day , in fact next whole week , i spent staring Manik. Yes his name was Manik Malhotra. I was feeling some kind of strong connection between us. I didn't think that he was feeling same as he didn't even look at me for once in this whole week. In fact he was a mysterious soul. I never found him talking to anyone. He always came to college and completing all his lectures went home. Why he was like this , why he was bothering me.
Like usual days , hanging the bag on my shoulder , thinking about him , i was walking toward my classroom and i got bumped with him. For the first time my body came in contact with his body. I felt electricity ran down my spines when my body touched with his body. The feeling was amazing. I had never felt like this before.
" Don't you have eyes or you don't know how to walk properly in corridors?” before i could say sorry , he shouted on me in front of everyone. It was just a mistake , i didn't commit any crime.
For the time , I heard his voice. I felt anger in his voice but when i looked into his eyes , i found pain in his eyes. For the first time i saw pain in his eyes , what kind of pain he was hiding inside him. He shouted on me and there i was bothering about his pain. What was happening to me.
" Bloody blind people" saying this he walked toward class room and i was standing there like a statue. I didn't know why his words didn't affect me instead the pain in his eyes which i had seen affected me. May be i was falling for the monster.
