Very entertaining
"This book was amazing--I just loved the writing style and the interesting POV. It was very engaging and overall felt very seemless in the way things were described and how the story progressed. It felt very smooth, and therefore really drew the reader in, which is something I think is very difficult to do. I'm a sucker for a good detective story, and although this was more on the silly side (which I still appreciate), I still loved it. It's a really cool, interesting concept, that really made for a great story. Now for a little bit of criticism. There were a few grammatical errors sprinkled throughout, which were mildly annoying because some of them were so noticeable they'd rip you from the story. That's really where they became a problem for me. But honestly it wasn't enough mistakes to make me consider putting down the book, and it wasn't really a huge deal, so I'm just taking one star off for that. Additionally, I found that the ending felt sort of rushed. It's just the pacing throughout the rest of the book was fairly consistent and suddenly it quickened at the end, which felt sort of weird. A lot of stuff felt unanswered at the ending too, but I guess that was sort of the point. I just wish the change in pacing near the end would've been more gradual, because as it is it feels rushed. Overall, this was a great read and I'd totally recommend. It didn't fail to make me laugh, and the writing style was entertaining and maintained decent quality throughout. "
A readable yarn, if a little unpolished.
"I quite enjoyed this story and would definitely read more from this author. As far as an intriguing mystery goes, it kept me wanting to know what happens. It was let down a little by a lack of polish. Spelling mistakes and missed apostrophes could have been tidied up with a quick proof-read. I also wasn’t a fan of the whole ‘you’ 2nd person gimmick. I feel that should be reserved for choose-your-own-adventure type stories where ‘you’ actually have a say in the direction of the story. I did like the ending. At first I was a bit confused but after considering it a moment I realized it was actually quite clever. I won’t reveal why. You’ll have to read it yourself."
