Summary

Gloria Anne Evans. Jake Michael Davidson. Finn Aiden Green. Violet Lara Marigold. Love is ready to teach us a lot. But, we have to learn. "I screwed up." What makes you love someone? The colour they carry in their eyes, the honeyed voice the have, the picture perfect lips they got, the wicked words they say, the hypnotizing touch they melt you with, or the magnificent, heavenly, alluring soul they have? He loved me for something more, nobody usually does that, he loved me for ways I never heard about, for things that isn't for him. He knew it all, despite that he loved me. He didn't bother to tell me about it too. For he knew I would not love him the same, but that didn't stop him, he still did, love me. ••• "He was unreachable like the stars, but that didn't keep me from wishing." If we could control our feelings, if we could choose whom we fell in love with, or if the person we loved would love us back, everything would be just fine. He wouldn't have to break, he wouldn't have to cry, he wouldn't have to leave. But you know what? Love is cruel. It destroys a lot of our lives. We keep waiting and hoping that things would flip, but it really does not. But one day, it did for me.

1. Amelia and Jake

I'm Gloria Evans,16, high school sophomore, quite a dancer, troublesome, and a little bit of an idiot.

I think a lot, a lot more than I actually should, it's not like I'm smart, I just have anxiety. But, let's be real, who doesn't have anxiety being a high school students in the 21st century? If someone does not, they are winning at life.

I walk up to my locker, clearly frustrated because my physics teacher told me that I'm going to fail.

I hate school, I'd rather be working as a drug dealer downtown than coming to school. But, I know, I can't do that.

I take out my biology book and binder out of my locker and slam it shut.

Anger management issues.

When I turn around, I find Mia. Standing there right in my face.

Mia, or as in Amelia Green, is my bestfriend, partner in crime, and according to her, my soul sister. She stands there with a straight posture, braided hair, russet colour eyes and olive skin, she looks pretty.

Her sparkly eyes travel down my uniform and she says, "Babe, you've been working out?" with a sense of pride.

"Why? Do I look hot?" I ask, finally lost some fat.

"Skinnier, ofcourse, bit looking hot in uniform is difficult." She says.

"True, anyways got some news?" I don't know why people say gossip is useless and trash, and girls don't have anything else to do. I love to know what people are up to, it sometimes turns out as life lessons. Gossip is kind of important.

"Yeah, Haider us planning a party for his and Sasha's six month anniversary. He invited me and told me to bring you too. He said sorry for not inviting you personally because he's busy. He passed me a note in math class." Mia explained.

You can call this party gossip, because a six month anniversary with your boyfriend or girlfriend is a very personal thing, and I would never celebrate it with half of the school in my backyard.

When you add people in your personal business, it's gossip and you're making it yourself.

"Oh I would love to! I really wanted to dance with a bunch of sweaty guys around me in a place that smells like alcohol." I say in sarcasm.

It's not like I don't like parties, I don't like teenager parties. They're actually a good waste of time and makeup.

"Oh c'mon, Gloria. You have to! It's a big one! And, you can get Jake's attention there too. He would never expect you to show up. I'll do your makeup, please?" Mia requests.

As if she's going to stay by my side all night, she's probably going to get drunk and make out with Skyler, her boyfriend somewhere.

"Okay ." I say.

"I heard my name in this conversation. You guys talking about me?" Jake shows up out of nowhere.

I should have worn that perfume.

He looks at me with those big, beautiful, grey eyes.

His hair auburn hair looks perfect and oh my, his face is so well structured, his cheekbones show, like Louis Tomlinson, along with the thin lips, it looks delicious, he has the perfect nose, he stands tall for us, 5,7". Not that tall but perfect for me.

"Hey, ladies." He says. Clearly flirting.

Mia rolls her eyes. She and Jake had been fighting for no reason for the last 5 years of our lives. I love to hear them argue, it' very funny and pretty impressive that they can roast each other for for hours.

She says,"Hi, Jake. I can totally assume that you grew no brains over the weekend because you're not the only Jake in the school. There's Jake Williams, Jake Herron,Jake Davidson...."

"I am Jake Davidson, and Herron and Williams isn't worth anyone's attention. You can admit you guys were talking about me. Am I right, Gloria?" Jake says leaning on the lockers.

"Um, not really, we were talking about Haider's party tomorrow night. Your name just popped out of nowhere." I tell him.

"Ok can you leave us alone now? I have to talk to my bestfriend for a while." Mia complaints.

"Oh you guys can talk for the entire day, I want to talk to Gloria about something really important. May I borrow your bestfriend for the break?" Jake says in his husky voice. His voice is so low and modulated, I can listen to him for years without stopping.

Oh, God. What is this"really important" thing?

"Fine, but just for today, I will be on the usual table if you need me, see you later!" Mia chimes.

I don't really think Amelia is even bothered that I am not having lunch with her today, I bet she is really happy that she can makeout with Skyler without making me feel like a third wheel. Whatever, I am also, very happy that I get to eat with the cutest boy in the school, okay, maybe not, but the cutest boy I find in the entire world.

He grabs my hand, and starts walking towards the cafeteria. His hands are really big, or maybe mine are small. His fingers are long and a little bit rough,

I can barely see my hand in his.

His veins show a little, it's sexy.

We walk through the the halls, hand in hand, I'm fluttering inside. My heart is doing the same cheerful thing which makes me feel so warm and gushy. I love it.

We enter the cafeteria and pass through the tables and I spot Charlotte glaring at us.

Charlotte, that bitch.
