My Family
I stood there with my mother and new father. I looked at all the young men in front of me. My mom pushed my back with her hand.
“Go ahead, tell them who you are. They are going to be your family from now on.”
I looked up into her eyes. The color of her amber eyes swayed as she looked at me. She was a humble woman. She mostly wore leggings and a tank top with a sweatshirt. she normaly stays in her office at home while i’m at school, I don’t know how my mom had gotten in a relationship with someone.
“hi, I am Leilyn Midnight Moonina. You may call me, whatever you like.”
I turned and faced them. Most of the boys were in their mid-twenties. I saw about a few boys about my age and a few ten year old’s.
How did this man have so many children? Not one of them girls. . .
“We are glad to meet you, sister, Leilyn Midnight Moonina. You will have ten brothers and one dad. Your mother will be busy on a trip. You will be staying with us for a while. You will have your own room with your clothing and girl supplies. I hope you like your new family.”
I looked at the one who was talking. They all went one by one into the door that was opened. I followed inside, I turned my face to see my mother already in the car driving away. One little tear slipped down my face.
I let it drip off my face and onto the wood floor, that I was standing on. I closed the door that was standing wide open. I looked up to see a catwalk staircase.
I walked into the living room and found all the boys sitting and what looked like their normal sitting spot. It felt like I didn’t belong here. But I had to get used to it.
This is going to be your new house from now on. A little voice announced in my head. I looked at the boys, they were all on there phone or iPad.
“Um, where is my room?” I spoke loud enough for one of them to look up.
He got up from his chair. He had on a blue T-shirt and loose jeans that were falling off his waist. He paused his music on his phone and put it in his pocket.
“Follow me.” he stated.
We went up the catwalk staircase to the very end of the hall to the left. He opened the door. It led me to a big room with a queen sized bed. It had blue covers and pillows. The room was the color white. It smelled like as if it was just cleaned. I walked onto the carpeted floor and took off my shoes. It revealed my black socks. I went to the closet and open the swing doors.
It showed me, the recent clothes I had before. I was stumped. most of the clothes that I had were baggy or wrinkled.
“Uh nope.” I closed the doors and walked over to my white drawers. I open one of them and found one of my favorite T-shirts. I pulled out one of my shirt drawers and put it against my chest. As I folded it back up a note fell out. I open it up to see it was from my mother.
Dear my Midnight,
I will miss you so much. I am going on a trip to Hawaii, for a business trip. My boss wanted me to leave right away. So I left you with my ex-husband. We are getting back together soon. But right now, that will have to wait. I hope that you will get to enjoy your new family. I will probably be back in the next two years. It is a really big case I have to solve what he wants me to do. I love you dearly.

Tears filled my eyes as they plummeted down my face onto the paper. I walked back to my bed and sat down. My still folded shirt was being squeezed in my hands.
“No, no, no! Mommy don’t leave me!” I cried.
I walked to the window and shoved it open. I looked outside to a roof. I looked behind me. I heard footsteps coming my way. I took my step outside the window. A tree was near the roof and I grabbed a hold of the branch.
I heard a yell from my new room.“Arg! She did it again like her mother.”
I focused my attention on climbing down the tree. Once I was close enough to the ground, I jumped. I landed on the ground. I stumbled a bit and ran. The house was near a forest, so I ran into it.
Tree branches and bushes scratch my skin as I ran as my heart content. The ground underneath my feet felt as if it was getting harder. I slowed down and looked at the ground.
Gravel.
I looked up. The trees parted in two ways. They both looked the same. I decided to play a little game.
“Mini miny miny mo, catch a tiger by its toe. If it hollered, let it go. Mini miny miny mo.”
My finger pointed to my left. I started to walk but was interrupted by a crunching noise. I turn my head to see a young man standing there.
“Leilyn, listen to me.”
Who is this man? Why does he know my name?
My body faced him. So I took a step back.
“Please don’t go that way, it’s dangerous.”
“I can go anywhere I want. So leave me alone.”
With that, I turned on my heel and ran towards the way I pointed. I heard someone run after me.
“Leave me alone!” I screamed.
He must have heard me and stopped. But wasn’t because of that. I noticed that the air temperature and the light outside changed. I slowed down enough that I could breathe and take a big deep breath.
The air felt good against my already hot skin. I looked around. The trees were bare and leaves were crumpled at the ground.
I am normal in the dark. I am kind of used to it.
I heard voices, while I walked.
“Hello, is anyone there?”
A black fire spread’s around the ground. It practically was touching my feet. It didn’t hurt. I looked up at someone who was standing there. She had white hair with black streaks. Black fire danced around her. She had on a black lace dress with combat boots. I looked up at her eyes. It looked like as if it had screamed for darkness.
“hello Leilyn, I am Lailah.”
She walked towards me. She stood an inch close to my nose.
Her eyes were searching for an answer. She took a step back and lifted her arm. White light came from the moon as it brightened her black fire into a white fire.
“You are apart of the moon goddess. The wolves run free around you. You are apart of darkness and light.”
A really bright light shined by my side.
“Hello, I’m Luken.” The light was dimed enough so I could see him. He had a white T-shirt and some gray jeans. He had on some white Nike shoes.
“Well Leilyn, we are both your. . .um. . . for say your power. You control the power of the moon like Lailah and you control how the light is bright, with me.” I stared at them.
I put up my hand towards them both. I grabbed a hold of their faces with my hands.
“I have power. I am able to turn into wolves that allow me to turn into. I am able to control light and darkness.”
I let go of their faces and let my hands drop to my sides. I watched as Luken and Lailah took a step back. They put their hands in front of them. I watched as my clothes changed to a much nice looking outfit.
I had a nice white dress that was short in the front and long in the back. I had black combat boots. I felt for my face and felt a crescent moon with little stars next to it.
I looked up to them. “Am I still able to have this power, in the daytime?”
Luken looked at me this time. “We both, before you leave, we will go into you. We will awaken only at the time period that is only for us. If you don’t know what I mean, its that we go into you, then we wake up from the sleep we had and control half of your body. Like at night lilla, for short I call her, she will awaken in the night while you will fall asleep in her state. When it is day time you will have your body for school and your friend time things. But I will come out some point in the day like when you are home in your room. You will sleep until Lilla awakens and you get to see what our eyes see. Most of the time we are sleeping or we get to see what are out of your eyes.”
I nodded my head. Lilla walked forward until she was in front of me again. I didn’t move as she entered my body. It felt like as if chocolate was spreading on my skin at night. I waited till her whole body fitted into my frame. I looked at Luken. He had a smile plastered on his face.
“What’s wrong?” I asked concerned. Lilla spoke up out of my mouth. “Yeah what’s wrong never been inside of a girls body before? . . . huh, that makes a lot of sense, But that doesn’t matter at all right now. We have to get this girl back home before her brothers get worried about what happened to her.”
I watched as Luken took his time walking towards him. I felt him enter into my body. His hands were at the same spot my hand was like as if they were mirroring me. His body entering mine felt like as if honey was spreading down my body.
Once he was finished, I felt a little faint with two immortal body's in me. I looked behind me. A pathway of my footsteps told me this was were I came from. So I walked. I walked to the end of the forest and onto my new yard. I came up to the front door. I wished that my clothes were back to normal.
The clothes vanished into thin air as my black T-shirt and blue skinny jeans with my black socks were put back on my body. The socks were wet from the dew that settled on the grass.
I felt my phone against my butt pocket. I pulled it out and found some Instagram notifications but that was all there. I put my phone back into my butt pocket and knocked at the door. I waited till someone came up at the door. They unlocked it and opened it.
It was my new father. He had a dressing robe on and slippers. I turned around quickly, not to face him in his Pj’s.
“Sorry I wasn’t home. I needed to take some air, alone.”
I heard him mumble a bit to let me know that I was able to come inside. I turned around. I walked into the foyer. I grabbed the railing and walked upstairs. I walked to the end of the hall and into my room. I closed the door, pulled out my phone with the charger that sat on my bed and plugged it into the wall while it charged my phone.
I grabbed a big T-shirt and small shorts and took off my forest T-shirt and skinny jeans. I took off the black socks and put it in a corner. As I took off my shirt I heard a knock at the door. I heard the door knob turn.
“Don’t open the door, I’m changing.” The door stopped turning.
I continued to pull off my shirt and my bra. My boobs were let free. I pulled my Pj shirt over my head and pulled the little shorts over my legs. I pulled out my pony-tail, and let my dirty blonde curls hang at my shoulders.
I walked to the door and opened it a little bit. I saw a boy standing there.
“hey, Leilyn. Um, I was wanting to know if you had any dinner?”
I looked up to him. He was trying to care for me.
“I already had something, I’m going to bed. Good night.”
I closed the door and locked it. I went over to my bed and pulled the covers up to my body. I took the big pillows off then I put my head on the normal pillow. I looked up at the ceiling. I grabbed a hold of my phone and turn on my noise app. I pulled out rain sounds as the water calmed my brain down from the already tiredness.
I closed my eyelids and drifted off to sleep.
