Needed

Emma looks longingly at her parents as they tease each other in the kitchen after breakfast. She wants that love, the love that sends tingles down ones arm when you brush the other. She wants her mate, but she doesn't want just any mate. She wants a mate that will make her feel loved and cherished and beautiful every minute of every day of every year of every lifetime. Fat Chance of that. Most females who find their mates take years to find the perfect mate, and if you rush it you may just get an ass for your love.

Her dad insists that the perfect love is worth the waiting for but, she's not so sure, She takes her plate to the sink and cleans the leftovers off in the garbage can and then rinses her plate off and looks longingly out the window towards the forest wishing that she would just turn 18 already so she could get her wolf and feel the wind through her fur, running through those Pine Oaks. She would give anything to find her perfect mate. Just two more days and then she would meet the wolf inside her...she hoped.

2 days until she turned 18 and she could hardly wait. Her turning 18 was the biggest thing to ever happen to her, on the exact same day tribes from all around the world would come and have dinner, and that is where the mates would meet and then have a bonfire to celebrate the finding of each other. The sad thing is the males who don't find their mates are sent home immediately, while the males who do get to remain and celebrate with their new females.

Every year a different pack hosts the finding; this year is our pack's turn. I think I might just find my mate this year all the other years I was too young to attend but this year I hope to be blessed by the moon goddess with the mate of my dreams. My older brother walks into the room with his reddish blonde hair falling into his eyes.

"Christian you should really get that hair out of your eyes; you look goth," my scoffs says.

"Mom it's not on purpose,"Christian replies hotly, "my hair is just long."

"Then make it short, son," My dad cuts in.

"But then no female would want to run their fingers through it" he whined. I just roll my eyes at this conversation because it's one that we've had before.

"Oh don't be over there rolling your eyes,"Christian says looking at me,"if you weren't my sister you'd be running your hands through it too."

"Okay. One, eeewww.Two, gross. Three, no need to be so damn cocky," I reply.

Irritated." "Watch your mouth young lady," my dad warns over his cup of tea, so like him to be getting on to me over cussing when he does it over EVERY little thing! I just inwardly roll my eyes, just the life of a everyday pup. Yay me.
