Chapter 1
Madison POV
Oh my god! What time is it? When I looked at the clock it said 7:33 am. Oh my god please tell me I'm still dreaming. Seriously, I can't be late for the first day to my new school! I run to the bathroom and put on my school uniform and quickly apply some makeup.
"Honey, why are you running like a mad woman?"
"As much as I'd like to explain to you dad, but I'm trying to get to school." " Before I make a bad impression on my first day of school."
"Go then sweetheart"
"Bye dad" I said as I sprint off running until I got a few blocks away from the building.
As I walked down the streets I decided to go the shorter way around to avoid the crowd of people. While I was walking along one of the allies I heard a noise.
"Damn my curiosity is going to end up killing me one day." I say as I start walking into the ally that I heard the noise from. To have a little peek of what's happening. It all happened so fast a man grabbed my arm and held a knife pressed up against my throat. I can tell the man is angry from the way he's breathing.....That's not good.
As I think this is not the first day of school I've planned in my mind at all. Ok, think, you can do this MADISON RUSSO. I can do this. I'll get out of here aliv-
"Let the girl go , she has nothing to do with it." Said this gorgeous man in front of me. I have no idea what kind of amazing creature I was starring at. I have to say he was fit and strong. I look at his luscious blue eyes and his lips were irresistible which I wanted to kiss so badly.
OMG, what the hell is wrong with me having all these thoughts when I could die any moment.
"What makes you think that I'll listen to you?" The guy who had a knife pressed against my neck says.
"Hey the two of you should sit down and talk about this calmly." " And if you don't listen to me." "You'll regret it." " I'm going to-
"You should really stop talking or I'm going to slit your throat open!" he says
"I think we should talk about this like adults!" I say hoping they'll listen.
"And I think it would be better if you... KEEP YOUR PRETTY LITTLE MOUTH SHUT!" Says the tall blue eyed guy... Ok, maybe he's not so hot after all.
"THAT'S IT!" I say trying to think of something fast to get out of this situation. I donkey kick him where the sun don't shine.
"Take that, you little piece of shit!" I yell to him " I told you, you were going to regret it."
"Owww...." he says
"Damn little lady you sure got some guts." Says the blue eyed guy.
"Now I'm going to take my bag and walk away and you two won't do a thing about it." "Do I make myself CLEAR!" I say and without wasting any seconds, I grab my bag off the floor and run for my life. I think to myself my parents will be so proud of me for what I've just did.
As of nothing happen I continue walking to school a short while later I get there. And go to the principal's office.
"Good morning, how can I help you?" Says the school's principal.
" I'm the new transfer student, Madison Russo."
"Oh, it's a honor to have you in our school." " I've heard a lot about you."
" I hope it's all good?" I say
"Of course, our school really needs students like you that are remarkably well in studies." " Oh, and before I forget this is your schedule." He says as he hands me my schedule.
"Thanks, I'm glad to be here too." I say as I leave his office and head over to my first hour class.
"Why are you late?" Says this old little lady.
"I have a Netflix hangover." I say
"Oh really, then I think I can give you time to make a better excuse at detenti-"
"Ummm... Actually I'm the new transfer student from.."
"S-so you are the one of the most outstanding academic achievers." "At your previous school, Madison Russo?" She says with excitement in her voice.
"Yup." I say
"It's a privilege to have you in my class." "Please have your seat next to Alexa over there." She says as she points to a girl whos head is on the table sleeping.
"Alexa wake up!" Says the batshit crazy teacher. Alexa slowly gets her head off the table and rubs her eyes. And says " I'm up teach." I go and sit next to her.
"Hey, I'm Alexa but you can call me Alex."
"Well, nice to meet you and I'm Madi-"
"Madison right and I like your excuse there." "So Maddie let's have lunch later together. And you don't mind me calling you Maddie right?"
"Please try and keep the voices down you two." Says the teacher.
"We will.."
"Try!" I say to finish her sentence. I start to pay attention to what the lesson is about today but I couldn't so I thought about Alex she is really nice and pretty. I have a feeling we are going to be bestfriends. Through out the rest of the class we continued to talk and laugh getting to know one another. And finally the school bell rings.
"Come on let's go, I'll drop you off to your Math class." "Then I'll meet you outside of your class for lunch." We head out the door to take me to math class.
"Here we are, I'll see you later." She says.
"Okay see ya!" I say as she walks away.
I go inside the classroom and find everyone talking so I decide to go to the back of the classroom. Until class starts.
"Good Morning class. Please go back to your seats now." Says the math teacher as everyone quickly goes back to their seats and settle's down. Then along came a nerdy boy and sat next to me.
"So class today we're going to learn about Matrix." " Please turn to page 238." She says as everyone starts grabbing there text books and turning it to the page number.
"Class so a Matrix is a rectangular array of-" As she gets caught off by the sound of the door opening a guy walks in. As I get a clear view of his face and I think to myself he's the blue eyed guy from earlier today in the alley! WTF! I can't believe we are in the same school! God why?
"Well Mr. Wallace you're late."
"Well, Ms. Hill I had stuff to take care of." Blued eyed guy says.
"Next time please come in earl-"
"Don't tell me what to do." He says looking angry and annoyed. As he keeps talking with Ms. Hill he keeps staring at me not once taking his eyes off me. Once he gets done talking with her he make his way to where I'm seating and glares at the nerdy boy who's seating next to me.
"I-I'm s-sorry." Says the nerdy boy. What does he want now I think and why is the boy beside me saying sorry to him. My thoughts were cut off from a voice that is deep and sexy. It was sweet but venomous, like cupcakes sprinkled with poison.
"MOVE!" Says blue eyed guy. The poor nerdy guy staggered away quickly to another empty seat on his trembling legs. I just rolled my eyes I can't stand the way people treat others as if there gods or something. I decide to say something to him.
"Why do you have to sit next to me." "When there's plenty of empty seats in the classroom?" I say. I think to myself what's wrong with them they act like he is the king here? And again my thoughts are caught off by his sexy voice which I crave. Ewww... What am I thinking.
"Hey, my love I can sit anywhere I want and you should be happy that I choose to sit next to you." He says.
"What, My love? Don't call me that! I say as I rolled my eyes at him already annoyed with him. " Don't flatter yourself, you should be the one to be honor that you're sitting next to me." I say to him hoping It'll shut him up.
"Feisty, I like it." "Oh and don't roll your eyes at me again." " I don't know who your boyfriend is but he's not spanking you enough.
"What?" I say. After what seemed like an hour of torture which consists of James kept being a jerk to me. The bell rang and class finally ended and I couldn't wait to get out of there. As I sprinted out the door to go and wait for Alexa so we can go to lunch. But I was stopped by James blocking my way out the door.
He kept walking towards me taking one step in as I would take one step back. He closes the door. And soon enough with each step i took back he would take one in and that eventually ended up having me backed up against the wall. And James just stood there and stared at me intensely.
I thought to myself I couldn't help but stare back to his eyes which sent an electrical chill run down my spine. Through my body making my features numb, like ice. What am I doing, I need to get my act together!
"What exactly do you want?" I say.
" YOU."
"M-me?" Before I could say anything else I was cut off by a familiar voice.
"What's going on here?" "James get away from her, she's my friend." " Did you hear me , JAMES WALLACE!" "Or I'll kick you where the sun don't shine." Alexa says.
"Umm... Actually-" I try to say but get cut off again.
"Don't you dare bully her!" she says.
"Yeah yeah." "Whatever you say" He says as he turns around and faces me looking at me which those beautiful blue eyes.
"Later baby." He says to me. And then walks off.
"You know him?" I ask her.
"Yeah, He's my older brother." She says as I look at her shockingly.
"Come on, let's go to the cafeteria!" She says as we start heading towards the cafeteria. As we are walking along the halls I hear people whispering things behind my back. Once we make it to the cafeteria, everyone stops and stares at us. People greet Alexa as she passes by and while every one just stares at me with confusion on their faces. We go to a table and sit down.
"Alex can I ask you something?" I say to her.
"Ask away!"
"Why is everyone greeting you when you enter?" "Why does your brother act like he is king of this school?" "Why are the teachers afraid of him?" I ask her all at once.
"Woah Woah Woah..." "One at a time." "So basically my uncle is the director of the education board and this is why every teacher is afraid of us because they simply don't want to get fired." "Not only that he's the king of this school but he's also ruler of this whole town."
"Oh my God!" "So, this concludes why everyone gasped when I shouted at him earlier."
"What?" "Never in a billion years did I think that someone would actually have the guts to shout at him." "I'm glad that we met and now you're my friend!" "Come on stop talking about that jerk and start eating." "What do you want to eat?"
"I'll have the spaghetti bolognaise." I tell her.
"Good choice!" "This cupcake is good though."
"Mine is actually quite good too!" I tell her. After lunch me and Alexa head over to our last class and then we went home. As I entered my house I said. "I'm home!" I walk over to my mom.
"Welcome back honey!" "How was your first day school?" She askes me.
"Well, it's like a birthday party that everyone attends ironically. I say. As she starts laughing .
"Seriously?" "I can hear your sarcasm."
"Well, I'm going to my room now. Just call me when dinner is ready." ask her.
"Sure sweetie." She says as I head up to my room upstairs.
I should change into my sweats. I go and change into them. I decide to go and help my mom make dinner. After dinner I went back to my room to finish my homework for tomorrow. Then when I got done with my homework. I decided to hit the hay.
I laid on my bed 2-3 hours with my eyes closed but all I could think about is James. I think to myself why can't I just sleep? Why is he on my mind and who does he think he is to walk into my life. And say he wants me. Ugh... Why do his eyes haunt me when I'm trying to sleep. His eyes are so intense I want to look away or never look away, I can't decide.
