Prologue
Everything was quiet in the art museum after dark. The guard made his usual rounds expecting another peaceful evening shining his flashlight down the hall. He walked past abstract sculptures thinking about what to watch back at his station, and failing to notice one of the sculptures still had a shadow when there was no light on it.
Once the guard was gone the shadow moved out from behind the artwork. Its silhouette belonged to a woman, and from the quick way she avoided the security cameras she seemed to be a professional thief. She made her way to the ancient statues exhibit looking for something, and she stopped when she found what she was looking for. A marble statue of a woman holding a basket full of grapes; the artist is listed as unknown. The statue is well made, but it's not a masterpiece just only old.
The lady thief used a laser pointer to blind the security camera, and then she walked over to the statue. What she did next was unusual for a thief to do. Running her fingertips along the seam where the grapes and the basket touch; a small light trailed after her fingers. When it was gone a rectangle outline appeared on the basket, and then a hole. The thief reached inside, and took out a figurine of an angel with a long emerald stone base and tiny stones on its body and wings.
It seemed like a perfect unbelievable theft, until men in gold armor carrying spears appeared. They surrounded her with their spears at the ready. At this point anyone could see it was an instant capture, but our thief was prepared. She showed them her closed fist, and opened it revealing a metal sphere. She let it fall from her hand, and when it hit the floor it liquefied. A second later it splintered off into several pieces, and wrapped itself around the armored men restricting them.
The thief ran off ignoring the security cameras, like they weren't working. However, those men soon broke free and went after her. Their spears turned into three pronged claws as they ran. A few of them threw their spears at her, and when the spears missed they hit the tiled floor causing a discharge of weird lights before putting holes in the ground. She was chased into the Abstract art room which had a wall and ceiling made of glass. It appeared she was cornered. As the men moved closer the thief snapped her fingers, and all the artwork grabbed the men. The lady thief stood still for a moment, and then as she raised her arms she floated up into the air. She continued to rise, and just before her head touched the glass it made a hole for her like it was plastic instead of glass. Once she was outside a gust of wind blew her away as if she was dust, and then she was gone.
