Scarlet was waiting outside for her kids bus, where she's been living in the past two years. In such bad neighborhood where there's shooting,stealing happening almost everyday. she couldn't do much before moving because she wasn't thinking , but had just moved anywhere to have a roof over the children's head. she had no help what's so ever. people from the neighbor watched her wait outside almost every day. she was into her own things, she waved hello to people, even chatted a few times. but the same neighbors would chat among themselves, talked behind her back, 'Probably this, probably that'. no matter who she met, rumors went around quicker even If it didn't get into a relationship at the moment. one day a guy named lenard came knocking at the door, Scarlet then opened the door, to know who was it and he had mentioned and noticed how beautiful she looked waiting outside. she then said thank you. so after weeks went by they got aquainted. she liked him, he liked her. liked went to love. but in reality he never loved her. he even moved in with her and her children. he then got to comfortable that he went out at night and came in drunk and demanded food and sex. scarlet had fear for her children but was brave. was scared to make any move. so with fear she made him dinner and made love to him that night. when she felt a heat of the arguing moment she had called the police a few night after. even they 911 were involved. the case was bad. to where he came in from the street drunk and he slapped her she fought back, he pulled her hair and she felt weak. once the argument got calm she quickly called the police when he wasn't there. he ran off as always.
The next day she went to the police department to cancel the restraining order, she felt sorry for him and decided to give lenard chances. he said how can you be a police chick, he's not used to the 911 saving a life. he's used to doing things the street way fighting and no defense. he even said sorry, they cried together, they did everything together. through good times and bad they were together like a real couple. Scarlet was called his old lady in front of friends and family, Lenard was called my man. but at home was something else. she did her daily mother routine , bathing the kids feeding waiting for them from school. balancing being a mother to her kids and being wifey material to her man. she loved him like no other. after one huge argument that they had they talked, screamed sorted it out even physically, she got exausted but would never give up. Lenard snitched at scarlet to his what he calls home boys and spread rumors like spread water to a plans fast and even faster. nosey neighbors came by her and acted so childish/nosey/sarcastic. "Hey girl did you do this with such and such.As they spoken then she automatically knew what was he up to. days go by, weeks go by she then calls him up the phone. he hangs up on her. her worries meant nothing to him. weeks months goes by same thing everyday. as soon as his birthday came up feb 18th, Scarlet baked lenard a cake . yea he came in just normal act and he saw the cake she baked on his birthday and went to the room. she said surprise. he quickly demanded dinner, she then thought what's up with him? but who knows. as he went out he left her behind. always doing the cooking, laundry, handling every chaos ahead oh her. on her own. Life is to short, a relationship should be 50/50. not 50/10. days went rolling by, weeks into months
months turned to a year earlier in a year he was a caring man in the begining. through good times and bad they have hung in there.
she then thought what kind of relationship a man goes out and leaves her behind thats no relationship. but after a year he took advantage and notices its was a year same day same month and fight repeat. he came home from outside not knowing the status he beated her demanded money, he broke her phone, she screamed as loud to her lungs. no-one came to her rescue. thankfully the kids were a school at the time. she was trying to go out , he blocked her with his body, she fought back, screamed tried getting out and he then hit her repeatly. she bit some part of his body as her defense, when she had the chance to be free, she quickly cut up his clothes, jeans, pants with a pair of scissor, to get back from him breaking her phone. she then bang everyone's door and no-one would open up. once a very good lucky neighbor finally helped her and called 911. after making the police report he fled as always, when the cops were around he was gone. when she got the chance to move out she quickly got half of her things and the kids things and left. even left some other belongings behind. there's a saying 'things can be replaced ,but a life can't'. she's happy and free she will miss him when he was good but thought about her kids. her life was in danger. she's been keeping this relationship so secret only to them. living in a doll life is no joke. in 4 walls not going out no social life no dinner with him nothing. she keeps thinking back flash and was very proud of herself to free herself and her kids.
a week later after the whole chaos, she wasn't feeling well so she went to the hospital, had several tests done and came to find out she was 16 weeks pregnant with the abusers baby. but unfortunatley, she had lost the baby by miscarriage. Scarlet had to make a few funeral arrangement. one for her beloved newborn baby girl who wasn't born due to a miscarriage baby named Clorinda Jade Davis and her love life with him as well.
In social media he then tells her I miss you baby, lets start over, we both messed up ,please I can't live with out you. she thought of her struggle and blocked him all the way. even changed her number.
I hope its worth cutting the relationship since he's the one that handed me the scissors.
