"Right from the get go this booked has had my imagination going. The characters are very relatable and the story is rich. You start liking and disliking the characters within a very short space of time, but it's not something I want to stop reading. Definatley a page turner and definatley worth every minute spent reading. "

"This book was a genuine surprise. A tight plot, engaging characters and worryingly plausible. The author has a solid understanding of corporate and governmental greed, corruption and control. Like all good 'end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it' thrillers, it comes from a clearly socialist perspective, but this doesn't detract from this truly enjoyable and gripping read. With characters to love or loathe and a well-paced plot, The Levelling delivers. The author has a healthy disregard for standard dialogue and speech punctuation conventions, but this only adds to the pace of the story and takes nothing from its readability. A book worthy of being picked up by a mainstream publisher!"
A dystopian view of our current world
"Constant has picked up on a fascinating part of our current social fabric - that of inequality - and providing an interesting, funny and different perspective. He has created a dystopian world that so-closely mirrors our own that the characters are believable and you can get lost in the blurred line between reality and Constant's alternative. A really great book and a superb focus on an issue of our times!"
