A Career-ending tragedy
"Cato was an intriguing character to me (and to Katniss) for what he said at the end of the Hunger Games to Katniss. For her, I felt like it was her first realization that anyone, even the careers, could be awakened to the Capital's true evil. Naturally, I wanted to see a bit more into Cato and Clove's minds. This story did just that. I started it years ago, and finally came back to finish it. The writer did a great job putting us readers into their heads with a style that was definitely inspired from Suzanne Collins herself. Though this is technically fanfiction, I feel like I know the Hunger Games from the perspective of Careers now, and the story of these two characters is tragic like everyone else born into the Capitol's games. "
Great Fanfiction
"This story just kept me up until 1 am reading it, and I have absolutely no regrets about it. I literally couldn't put it down. It was incredible how the story made me really care about and connect with the characters in spite of the fact that, being a huge fan of the Hunger Games, I already knew when and how they were going to die. Aside from a couple spelling mistakes, everything was incredible. I was especially impressed with the plot and character development. I feel like it can be really hard to pull off good fanfiction, but this nailed it. Love the writing style, great job overall. I would definitely be interested in reading more stories by this author."
