Chapter 1
Echos of the world dance in the winds of fate
Giggles and laughter of souls long lost
Heartbreak and sorrow of loves wilted to trial
Fading sunlight to the darkened streets of silence
Bloody threads from stitching wounds of war
And silencing the abused and meek
A rose growing in concrete to challenge the way of time
Only to be plucked from the ground to express eternal love
Despite it withering in the very hands of that promised one
Or perhaps it is sprayed with death
Forced to suffocate and scream
Despite having no mouth
And now as i sit among the flowers
Wilted and faded from the stampeding feet of people
Who claim to value the flower before the their eyes
So i lay down among the dead and dying
Only to see it is not flowers among me
But the fading light of the people i once loved
And the crimson color surrounding us all
