I see the shadow of the past

English was my favorite subject. I loved writing and reading very much. The teacher's name was Miss Rose, she was sweet and I knew I was going to like her. She told me that I may sit by the window where the last desk was. I nodded my head in understanding. I walked to my new seat and sat down, that's when my vision went blurry and I was someone some where else. I was sitting in the same class but still different in its own way. I was in my own little world, looking out the window when a mystical creature appeared. It had Beautiful black glimmering fur and magnificent blue eyes, like looking into the deep blue ocean. It looked at me as I looked back at it. I was in awe of the creature. It was as if it was looking into my soul as if it was apart of me. I couldn't stop looking at this godly thing staring back at me. Then I came to realize upon, it is a huge cat, a black panther, deadly predator, probably ready to eat me alive. As I looked away I felt as if I was prey ready to be hunted. I felt jittery and ready to run; it felt as if I had hundreds of tiny spiders crawling all over my body. The bell rang for lunch, I walked fast but calmly out of the room like it was an alarm drill we were practicing.

As I was sitting down by the beautiful and calm lake, I began to eat my sandwich. I sat there looking out at the lake and forest. The air is warmer; the sounds of insects are almost too loud. The lake seems like a black void, the sun bouncing off its surface. I laid down on the edge of the water and peer into its depths, only to see pondweed and small insects at first. As I remain still, layers of water somehow become apparent. Trees cast their reflection on the water on the west side of the lake making a dark silhouette against the blue. When the wind blows the sun's reflection makes the ripples glimmer. A fish breaks the surface of the water and churns it slightly interrupting my daydream; I look up and see the top of the sun, it is autumn, about mid-October. Everything is so beautiful. The forest was calling out to me. As I got up I walked to the path laid out in front of me. As the trees stood as straight as soldiers, little beams of sunlight shone through the gaps and onto the forest floor. As I walked deeper into the forest I saw fallen trees, logs, and branches everywhere. I saw bird's nests and shifting patterns of light all across the forest. Branches were cracking under my feet I could hear squirrels chattering, leaves rustling and most of all the wind whistling. I loved nature and all the secrets within in it. Different things happening around me it was the life of nature and its beauty. It smelled earthy, fresh and wet. The touch of leaves against my skin felt like gentle kisses from a loving mother, the tickle of hanging moss, and a soft breeze gently sweeping the hair out if my face. I loved the feeling of grass sliding against my legs, the uneven ground kept me at focus so I would not fall.

A magnificent but mysterious creature stood as straight as a statue as the leaves beneath it crunched and rustled. I shivered as I saw the beautiful creature from before stood before me now. My face ashen, I began to walk back slowly, I was ready to run. My heart was racing skipping a beat every once in a while, my pulse was hammering. I was holding my breath. In my head I kept repeating; please don't eat me please I'm not ready to die. He started moving closer to me I became paralyzed to the spot, his eyes were locked on to mine stocking me like pray ready to pounce any second. My lips began to tremble, I was ready to cry, and I couldn't believe this was happening to me, I was going to die here. I squeezed my eyes shut ready for the striking kill of this creature before me.
