THE bright sunlight made its way through the blinds and on to my eyes lids which was exactly what made me regret the last couple of shots that I had before bringing Bethany home. I turned my body in the other direction of the room making me strangely aware of the fact that she was still in my bed. God, the one thing I hate most is when a women takes upon them self to create this into a little sleep over I mean its called a one night stand for a reason. Her body laying in front of me right now made me feel, nothing, it was always nothing after I wake from an insane night out with Brett.
I opened my eyes and they landed directly on the red head that was currently on my bed when all of a sudden I’m hit with flashes of last night. The flashes began to swarm my head making the searing headache more evident then before. When all of a sudden I heard my phone ring allowing the piercing sound to make its way into my ears then my brain. Why is it that every night I choose to go out and party I make the irrational choice of drinking way past my limit.
“What” I simply said into the phone it was my secretary informing me that my father was already their for our 9:00AM meeting and it was already, yup 8:45 as if I needed to add tardiness to the list of thing I couldn’t do right according to my father. “Okay tell him that I’ve been busy and to start without me and I will be their as soon as I can.” I told her god this women is so insipid just her voice make me want to die.
I hung up the phone and removed the covers from me revealing the rest of my naked body I walked to he shower trying my best not to think about her. The one women I have loved since as long as I could remember. Her prefect olive skin color her black long hair, her blue beautiful eyes and yet she was a total bitch. The same bitch that had pitted him and his only brother against each other.
I turned on the water and made sure the tempter was just right before walking into the shower. I stepped inside and stood underneath the water just hoping that the water would wash away all the memories I had of her, of her body, her smell, her touch, the way she carried her self as women. God their was no one else like her in all my 24 year of life I have not come to know another women like Claire. All the women I knew in my life were insecure of everything they had and always wanted more, but Claire she was always confident. She has always known exactly what is was that she wanted, but she made it perfectly clear that I wasn’t want she wanted I just never realized it until Jessica made it so clear to me. How- How was I suppose to forget this prefect women? I stood underneath the water praying that they water would somehow wash her way from my life because me having to do it would be the most difficult thing in the world.
I was brought out of my concentration by the noise that was coming from my room assuming Bethany was awake I shut the water off and stepped out of the shower. I grabbed the towel that was neatly laid out on the towel rack which Mrs. Robinson was was always so generous in arranging for me every week. I wrapped it around my waist and walked towards the door opening it, it revealed the same red head women on the ground look underneath the bed I stood at underneath the doorway look at this fascinating creatures. In reality I was hoping she would be gone when I was done with my shower but nope she is still here. Seriously, this is why I hate fucking girls in my house I would much rather do it in neutral location like the bathroom bar or even the hotel room. In all seriousness, I don’t give to fuck as long as I could get away from them when I was done using them. She had found her shoe and then she looked up and saw me at the doorway.
I made my way to the my closet and pulled out my black slender slacks along with my boxers. I walked back to the room and laird them on the bed. Slowly I began to get dressed. Once I was done I picked up my shirt and walked to the mirror and put it on. I began buttoning my shirt when I realized this women has been staring at me for the last couple of minutes.
“What can I do for you?” I asked her hoping that this dull lifeless women would understand that I wanted he out of my house I had fucked her already she had officially completed her task. I was no longer in need of her services.
“Thank you for last night I had fun.” She said well sit on the corner of the bed putting on her shoe. Her voice is sweet like honey ready to seduce any man coming her way.
“Yeah me too, but its time for you to go okay I’ll walk you out.” I said making my way to the door opening it and waiting for her to follow.
She stood and followed, “wait I thought we could grab some breakfast since you had a good time to.” She replied before walking out the door.
“Look Bethany I only do one night stand I don’t do breakfast after and I'm hoping that I don’t have to see you again. That’s all this was- it was just sex. It was good sex but it was just that- sex- okay. So thank you for helping me out last night but you gotta go now because I too am running super late.” I made my way around her and opened the front door.
I heard her exhale loudly before she replied to me, “my name by the way is Andy if you even care- asshole.” with that she walked away and I shut my door to go and finish getting ready for my day.
I walked back to room and grabbed my tie to put it on. Once I was done I look up at the clock and It was already 9:30AM I grabbed my shoes and socks through them on with that I made sure my hair was intact and looking good. I went to the study and put all the papers that I was working on the night before for today’s meeting and stuck them into my brief case and Walked out the door.
I arrived at MacCloud Enterprises by 10 O’clock well so much for being prepared for my meeting with the investors. My dad is going to have a freaken heart attack. Sometime I think Tom is the luck one for having walked out on his family he's out there live a hippy lifestyle and here in Seattle me I'm here in the midst of the corporate world. I walked in through the revolving door and toward the elevator. Their was already a group of people waiting for the elevator when I heard the ding indicating the that I was about to open. I hoped in with about 10 other people its a good thing that these devises are resilient or else.
As I step out of the elevator all conversation seized to stop. The people who laughed stopped laughing and ran back to their chair the people who were on there phones put them down. Why, you might ask well its because that is the kind of respect I demand I don’t pay these people pretty pennies to just sit on their asses and fuck around all day.
“Good Morning Mr. MacCloud you father is waiting in your office. Also you have a 10:30 with Mr. Morison and his associates to complete the contracts for the office in Beijing. I have please the file on your desk already along with the minute notes from the last meeting you had with them.” Kate my secretary said well walking behind as we both made our way to my office. I opened the door and found my father sitting on my chair but I made my way to the mini bar I had in my office and poured myself a drink. At the this point Kate had dropped my messages on my desk and walked back out to her office.
“Do you mind old man?” I said insinuating him to get off my chair.
Hey stood up from my chair and made his way around to the chairs that were placed on the other side of my desk. “I wouldn’t have take over if you left your night life at home and not let it effect your job. How am I suppose to prove to the board that you are ready to take over this company if you let your personal like effect your job. Your worst than that brother of your. Having a kid and fucking some whore on the side.” He was taking about Jessica I refused to agree over that because it was pointless.
“I’m here now dad.” I picked up drink and look a sip of it before putting it down again. I picked up the files that Kate had left on my desk and saw that this was the Morison Family file not the Morison Associate file that I would need for the meeting in a couple if minute I inhaled and stood up and poured myself another glass of Scotch and drank it before walking to the intercom on my desk and summoning Kate for the second time today.
“Kate, please come back I need to see you” I talked into the intercom and looked up seeing my father looking at me so intently. He had no idea I was about to fire Kate in all honesty I should have fired her ages ago she seriously annoyed the shit out of me.
“Don’t you think its a bit early for that son.” he said referring to the drink in my hand.
“Well, it five o’clock somewhere right.” i replied with a smile on my face when I heard a knock on the door.
" Come in.” I said well getting up from my chair and stand next to my desk.
“Sir, you wanted to see.” she said so unaware of what I was about to do. I just simply smile enjoying what I was about to do.
“Come around to my desk and take a look at the file you gave me Kate now tell me who am I meeting with this morning. My father looked at my furrowing his eyebrow confused on what I was about to do. Kate walked around to my side of the desk and picked up the file. She was analyzing the file not realizing what she was looking for. although it took her about 30 seconds to finally realize what I was referring to.
“Sir, I’m so sorry I didn’t realize I will get the Associate file right away. It’s just I came in a couple of minutes late this morning and didn’t realize I had grabbed the wrong file but I will fix right away. I am so sorry.” She was heading towards the door when I interrupted her.
“Don’t bother your fired.” I said smirking at her. I could see the tears building up in her eyes due to the new that I had just given her. “You can go pack up you things unless you want security to do it for you.” I told her returning to my previous task which was emailing HR about our recent change in staff employees.
“Was that necessary” my father said well getting up from his chair. My dad was a lot older than her actually looked I mean now that I think about even thought he’s like in his mid 50′s he actually looks like he’s in his late 30′s early 40′s which is kinda crazy if you actually think about it.
“Yes, dad I will be their.” I said making the nuisance I was feeling because of his presences evident
“Great, because their is this remarkable young lady I want to introduce you to and seeing as you now need a new secretary and she needs a job. I offered her a job here I actually had no idea where I was going to put her but now that you have gotten rid of the one you had she will be the replacement.” It was 10:30 already and my meeting would be starting soon. I got up from my chair and grabbed the files I was going to need for them meeting was about to walk into.
“Dad, you have no right to make that decision.” I was pissed I was the COO of this company I was responsible of the employees weather it was firing them or hiring them.
“I am still the CEO of this company I make whatever choice I see fit until you get your shit together and I get to retire making you the CEO.” He raised his voice making it clear that I hit I sore spot for him. “Unfortunately I don’t see that happening anytime soon so until then I make whatever choice I see fit and I sure as hell don’t need your permission to do so. This young women is studying Oncology in the hospital we just so generously donated to and she is a outstanding student and person. Her father is a doctor there and she shows a lot of promise, but she needs a job to continue studying and you have position opened. That is the end of this discussion do you understand? I walked out the door toward the conference room seeing that the necessary people were already inside. I turned around and took a good look at my father.
“Yes, its very clear. I look forward to meeting her dad.” I hope this one isn’t as stupid as the rest of the idiotic women my dad has in the office. That was the last time I thought about my new assistant before walking in to my conference room to begin my meeting.
“All right gentleman lets gets started shall we?” I said before I heard the conference room door close completely.
