The great fire of London (chapter 1)
In 1666 early September 2nd while the suns breast dipped over the horizon and the light seeped through the city. Crowds of people scurried by in the dusty narrow streets. Eager to go by there day. As a run down the street, my heart pounding from tiredness as I made my way down pudding lane and over to Thomas farriers bakery. As I open the door and buy the bread and biscuits for this week I turn to leave when I spot a jolly face on my porch it's my sister Alana. I skipped to my porch my eyes focused on the ground. The morning sun put a lazy hot breeze from the long summer, tall wooden houses dry from heat cast a shadow over my feet as a reached my house. I exclaimed my sister's name as a made my way up the stairway. Alana, I cried in joy as we shared the bread and biscuits I bought from the bakery. Alana asked me "how's your morning job doing for you," she said in her sweet voice that had a nice ring she talked like a bell that ringed with a chime." its not much of a job and I've just started," I said in reply. "I just sort out herbs and medicine and ring up customers." The nearby clock ticked id realized the time was 12:00 I was late I waved goodbye to Alana and went down the street filled with people. the second's counted in my head I didn't want to be late and I had a strong feeling to get away from the bakery. The seconds counted and the time chimed 1:00 am a burst of crimson flames curled out of the bakery erupting into red flames that danced on the roofs of houses. panic spread as people pushed there way my heart began to pound and my blood rushed through my veins as a ran panic spread like a virus infecting the people around me. Just then l stopped and realized that Alana was still down on pudding lane my heart dropped out of terror, around me people screamed and ran trying to escape the fires prowls on the Thames river. I ran back into the fire soot and smoke covering me making it difficult to breathe. My voice spotted with concern as I yelled out my sister's name"ALANA!" I cried in a desperate voice fear wrapped around me like a cage growing tighter and tighter which brought strain to my chest. the fire encased me in a violent dance with fear.
