A month back I met a girl she told me her story. The story of her and her ex. The story of how she loved him and how he loved him and boom the breakup. This girl met the guy in their society lift and they both felt an instant connection. They knew each other but wanted to know each other more. Background outline, the girl was an extrovert, outgoing, very childish and loveable by all and she was like an open book while the guy was introvert, outgoing, but didn’t express his true thoughts to anybody other than his own self, very shy, talked less and his existence was known by fewer people in the society. So when he met her in the lift they exchanged numbers just like good friends. After some time, the guy proposed the girl but he proposed her for a relationship status which has them close but their closeness is not defined by any tag, while the girl was adamant on being in a relationship and wanted a lifetime commitment. They shared their first kiss and many more fantasies. But along with the fantasies they shared their soul and heart. The guy slowly and eventually started telling the girl about his feelings, his emotions, his life. The girl grew addicted to the guy. The addiction was as same as the addiction for drugs. She made him her priority, her love (her first love). Talking to him became a habit for hers. The guy also started loving her but because of his bad past experience with commitments, he couldn’t give her the relationship and commitment she wanted. Like every other girl she wished for a Handsome Prince Charming to love her, give her the relationship tag and live happily ever after. But every princess story has some bad stuff. The girl grew obsessed with the guy, she started feeling that she is not the one he deserves and if he gets a good option he may leave her and never return back. Her obsession grew so much that she started feeling insecure, even with his slightest talks with any random girl. She loves him a lot. He was right that with relationship comes possessiveness, obsession, jealousy, and many more obstacles. And she was proving them all correct. She started to control and cage someone who wanted to live freely. She did all of this because she made her aloof from the whole world and only had him as her everything. She shared stories with him, cared about him, loved him, gave 100% efforts in this relationship, gave time and patience and what not to this relationship. But she made many mistakes and with each new mistake, the guy just went one step away from their relationship circle. She tried a lot to become the girl he desired for. She wanted to be that different girl he fell in love with. But each time she became the girl who was angry, fighting always, became obsessed with his stories, and became one typical nagging girlfriend.
One fine day, her one mistake and the whole 3 years relationship came crashing down. She curses herself every day for ruining her relationship with someone so special to her. She curses her fate and her destiny. She begged him to come back but sometimes it is better to leave the person than coming back into a relationship where there is no love or the love has faded away, where the mistake was so harmful that you can't take it back even with you lifelong apologies and the relationship has an awkward silence- the silence of his lost faith in the relationship, the silence of frustration, the silence of anger. But still, she decided not to let him go, she decided to move on in life and wait for the day when both of them cross their paths again and see the same spark they saw the first time in the lift. she didn't wants a new guy to make her move on rather she chose to wait and cherish some time alone with their beautiful memories. She doesn’t regret the decision of being with him. Those 3 years of her life were too beautiful for her. She always missed a male figure in her life and when she got that she couldn’t handle it the way she should have. But one thing has changed, the girl lost herself. She can’t find herself anymore. She can't find herself talking to new people and expressing herself. People find it difficult to read her now. She lost herself, she lost a piece of her heart, she lost a best friend, she lost a soulmate, she lost him. But she never cursed him for leaving her, she always told everybody that no matter what those 3 years of her life were heaven. He made her feel special for those 3 years. For her, she always deserved a guy like him. She always told that people leave for a reason, but the short time you have spent with them matters the most.
Don’t hate people if they leave you. Love them too, because even the shortest time span with them taught you how to live in heaven. But remember you are no angel who deserves heaven always, sometimes you have to go through hell to understand what pain is. People who stay in your life are diamonds but the ones who made your life heaven once in your lifetime are surely gem too. Maybe they have made mistakes and they have faults but always remember, life without mistakes is just boring. Accept everyone's faults and mistakes, try to adjust with the smallest flaws. But not saying that forgive those who have hurt you badly and made you feel depressed but forgive those who really are worth forgiving. You can only end the war inside yourself by letting go of things with pure love and affection, hatred can never make you feel strong. Rather it takes a lot of courage to let go off soemone whom you love than letting go of someone whom you hate.
