Summary

The adventures of Qui Gon and Obi Wan have been previously written. But, in canon time, the relationship is explored on a detailed, and personal level Obi Wan is on the brink of failure. At the older age of 16, he still has no Master, and may be forced to take on the menial Corps work of a Jedi. It is only when the esteemed, and unconvential Jedi Master, Qui Gon Jinn, comes to view a duelling session, that Obi Wan sees an opportunity to prove why he should be the experienced Masters Padawan. Covering a span of nine years, all the way up to the beginning of Ep 1, Obi Wan: The Beginning is a retelling of the early years of Obi Wans life, and his missions with Qui Gon. Featuring established characters such as Yoda, Mace Windu and Quinlan Vos, as well as the likes of Xanatos, Jenna Zan Arbor and Duchess Satine Kryze. This book covers how the relationship between Obi Wan and Qui Gon blossomed from professional, to a father-son dynamic between the Master and apprentice. This was my first Star Wars work, and was heavily inspired by Jude Watsons Jedi Apprentice. Most of the characters, and elements of the stories, I absolutely credit to her. She was the inspiration for this, and I hope I did those original books justice.
