SOUL MATTERS: Book one: A rude awakening
"I am hooked. Soul Matters is a monumental book that covers a vast amount of data in a short amount of time, just 2592 pages in 13 smaller books. The author labels them 1-13, but book 9 is not there. This book is not SIFI and not religious. Instead, the author uses a simple story about a normal 50’s something guy who’s having a midlife crisis dealing with his marriage, his job, his religion and his future worth. As a young ‘hippy’ , he meditated to calm himself. Still meditating today, he finds himself on a stone patio full of flowers belonging to the angel MANUEL. He says” Who are you,how did you get here, now get off my patio”. To solve this problem MANUEL must instruct Phil in how to navigate in the world of Spirit. This includes learning of the entire history of the Universe thru the history of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Each book in the series has Phil solving a problem in the world of SPIRIT. along the way, he meets Demons, several Satans, masks of retired Gods and more Angels. The book is funny, profound, and topical to today’s problems. Is it real, can you take everything as truth? The events are real, if you believe the Bible. But remember, this is just a very good “story “ written to make “you” think. It’s more than well written, it’s the book I’ve read in many years. Very satisfying if you complete it. WOW! Bill Lesburg"
Soul Matters: Book One A Rude Awakening
"It's a great read! I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next in the series! It's got Angels, surfer dudes, spiritual history.....wrapped around a regular guy going through a midlife slump. I'm hooked. I want to hear more!"
Soul Matters: Book 1
"Overall this was very entertaining! I felt it was a humorous and lighthearted approach to a very obscure and sometimes heavy, subject matter. He boldly took on the traditional spiritual belief systems, thoughtfully selecting elements of each to form an alternative explanation. He addressed the subjects of heaven and hell, with a unique spin and some interesting insights. Even though it's not always believable, from my perspective, it was thought provoking and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!"
