Chapter 1: Long time no see
Eragon+Arya~Rider’s love

It has been 45 long years since Eragon left for the land beyond Alagaesia, and much has happened since he left.
Roran and Katrina have rebuilt Carvahall, and have since added a quaint castle on top of Bald hill. This is where Ismira grew up for most of her life. Roran is waiting for Eragon to return and see how much Carvahall has changed.
Murtagh and Nasuada started dating 5 years after Eragon left, and they married the year after. That makes Murtagh the king of Alagaesia. They now have two children, Nemuen (Nim-oo-en) their son, and Selena, their daughter. Murtagh is waiting for Eragon to return and see how much he changed.
Arya, though the aspects of her life are the same as Eragon left, her personality and attitude have changed immensely, making her the most changed of the group. She is still queen of the elves, the rider of Firnen, and beautiful as ever. However, she has come to love Eragon as he loves her, and longs for him to return so she can tell him about her feelings.
Firnen, mate of Saphira, dragon to Arya, is waiting for Saphira and with her his children, to return so he can see what they have become, being born after Saphira left Alagaesia.
Eragon awoke early that morning. Today was the day, that he would start on his way to Alagaesia. His second in command, Gharres, will watch over and teach the riders and dragons while he is gone from the home of the riders.
Since he has left Alagaesia, he has done much with his life.He has helped raise 120+ dragons and their riders, he has reestablished the riders with himself as the leader, and he has seen Saphira grow into a dragon almost as big as Glaedr. The only thing missing was Arya. He has loved her since he first saw her in his dreams when she was captured by Galbatorix. Since then, this love has blossomed into an intense passion for her and her alone.
Unsurprisingly, he looks as young as he did before. He is clean shaven, muscular, and tall. His ashy brown hair and brown eyes were as they were 45 years ago.
He walked out onto the balcony of his window for some fresh air. Suddenly a large flapping sound and a burst of wind were around him. Saphira was face to face with him, humming.
“Saphira,” asked Eragon.
“Yes little one,” she replied.
“Have you finished getting ready to leave, because I’m ready when you are,” he stated.
She nodded, turning around so Eragon could climb on her back.
As he climbed on, he looked around at the world around him. He remembered when he first got here, when he and Blodhgarm started to work on the first buildings in the area. Now it is a bustling kingdom with many buildings. He then sees Saphira’s children, whom she hasn’t named, so she and Firnen can name them together. They are coming with us to see their father.
Suddenly Saphira took off to the sky, leaving the home of the riders behind.
After 3 days, Eragon, Saphira, and her children, were back in Alagaesia. As they flew over Surda, Eragon realized how much has changed since he left Alagaesia. Where there were small villages before, are now giant cities, prospering without the rule of Galbatorix.
As they made their way to Du Weldenvarden, Eragon saw Urgals practicing for the next games among species. Since the other dragons were playing, Eragon decided to talk to Saphira.
“Saphira, I find it refreshing to be back in Alagaesia”, Eragon told Saphira
“As it is for I, little one”, she replied.
They entered Du Weldenvarden the following day, and Ellesmera soon after. Eragon guessed that Arya would be at Tel’naeír, where she lives and trains with Firnen.
He made a good guess because that’s right where they were. He had Saphira land around a mile away so he could surprise Arya. As quietly as possible, he snuck up to the crags and next to her house. As he was about to enter and surprise her, Arya ran out and embraced him. “Eragon! I thought you weren’t going to return!“, she exclaimed. “Well I have but there goes me surprising you.“, he says with a fake pout. Arya grinned, which made Eragon’s heart skip a beat. “Well, you didn’t hide your mind, so I knew you’ve been on your way for around 10 minutes now.“, she says, showing Eragon his mistake. Eragon laughed while Firnen and Saphira bounded off with their children.
“I’ve missed you so much,” Eragon said, trying to express his feelings once more. Arya noticed right away and started blushing, and revealed, “I missed you more than my mother and father. I thought you, the last person I loved, were gone.” She smiles at him, tears rolling down her face. Eragon embraces her tighter, whispering, “I love you too.”
