A Friggin' Gay Fairytale

Chapter 1

I was thirteen when I realised I was gay. It was three things that triggered my sexual awakening really, firstly what straight guy is obsessed with boybands like 1D, Why Don’t We, 5SOS and The Vamps? Secondly was the awkward coming out dream I had. It was weird but, being the word nerd that I am, I’m usually really good at speaking, but I was stumbling over my words. Thirdly was the daydreams I had about Jack Avery. Let’s just say they were the kind of daydreams you wouldn’t want to tell your elderly grandmother about for fear she would pass out from shock.

Three years later I’m moving schools. I am okay with it though, we’re moving to Los Angeles so my mom can marry Jacob, this guy she met on a cruise with my aunt, four years ago. Plus it’s not like I have friends at my current school anyway, if anybody talked to me, it was to get me to do their homework or make fun of me for being able to do their homework.The only thing that I’m gonna miss is being able to play for my school’s soccer team, I know I can play for my new school but I really like my coach and some of the boys on the team are hot. I’m a little nervous about getting on a plane from Louisville, Kentucky to LA though, that’s like seven hours and I’ve never flown before!

Happy Saturday! It’s noon here in LA and, I am exhausted. The jet lag combined with the fact that my mom just had to get me up at three o’clock this morning to make sure we got to the airport on time. Even though we could’ve gotten up at five-thirty and made it just fine. Normally I would be getting up by now, seeing as how it’s three o’clock in Louisville and I am an antisocial nobody. So as soon as we get to Jacob’s house I am going to crash and take a three hour nap on the couch.

We have been in LA for two and a half days now and I am bored. Of course, we have been in the house unpacking the whole time, and I have yet to start school so it is bound to be boring. Jacob said he would take us to all of the touristy locations in LA over the next few days, seeing as how I don’t start school till Monday. I am so excited! We are going to The Hollywood Walk Of Fame, and The Hollywood Sign.

I started my new school today. It was awesome, I made a friend (Her name is Hope), the school lunch isn’t terrible (About a seven out of ten), there is a hot guy in five of my seven classes (His name is Pedro and he is in my AP English, precalculus, U.S history, creative writing,and gym classes), and they actually accept and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community (’Nuff said).

Pedro is around six foot three inches, he has the abs of a greek god, a naturally tan complextion that is to DIE for, and he has soccer calves. I love soccer calves! Also, seeing as we share most of our classes he is my student guide for the week. He gets to introduce me to teachers and classmates alike, show me where my classes are, and he even helped me when I had issues getting my locker open on my first day ( even though the issues were mostly caused by being so close to the equivilent of a Greek God)
