Remembering Them

~~~Namjoon POV~~~

I stared out the window, a murmur slipping through my mind droning on and on, growing into a constant roar of hurt, shame, fear, and regret.

I tugged at the strands of my hair, tears running down my face... I couldn’t even remember the six men in front of me. Not since the accident.

They told me I had gotten into a wreck... that I was hit by a car, that I lost my memory.

And here I am, two months later, no improvement. I’m scared, scared I won’t remember, afraid I’m just a burden to them now as opposed to the person I used to be.

I sighed,” Can you go through your names again??? Maybe it will work,”

The mother like one with the soft plush lips brushed my fringe away from my face, holding my shoulders softly,” Namjoon... sweetie... I don’t think they will come back,”

I panicked,” No!!! They have too!!! I can’t- I can’t just... forget you!!! Hyung, please!!!" I begged, begged him to say that it wasn’t true, that I will remember them. That I’ll wake up tomorrow and things will be like they used to... however that was.

He only smiled softly, sadly, with pity as he said the five words that broke my heart,” I’m sorry Namjoon, they’re gone,”
