Hired
It's the first day of the week and my first day on my new job. I was hired as an Executive Assistant at a Prestige company which is, Legis De Saltu Co.
I don't know what's the meaning of the company name or was it the owners name or something but all i know is that, i am glad that i get the job. Everyone wishes to be one of the employees of this company including me. Let's just say that the benefits of this company can give, is just a bonus.
The salary is what matters most. It's so freaking high! Even the utility personnel payed higher than the other companies out there.
But, they're very strict when it comes to rules.
Rule #1 : You must not own any animal. ANY!
Well, i really don't have a problem with it. I don't own or plan to own any animal. I just don't like animals. And to add it up I'm allergic to fur.
Rule #2 : You must go home ON TIME. No Over time work are allowed.
See? It feels like the rules are made just for me. I don't think i will have any problem with obeying the rules. I don't want to go home late because of work anyway.
Rule #3 : Mondays, Wednesdays and fridays are the only days that you can eat meat at the cafeteria. Tuesdays and Thursdays you have to eat either vegetables or fish. If you wan't to eat meat on Monday, Wednesday or Friday you'll have to eat outside the office premises.
Now, this one rule, i think i will have a problem with. First of, i don't eat veggies. It taste bland. Second, the restaurant around the company is too expensive. Third, the food in the cafeteria is free you can eat all you want. Too bad if i can't take advantage of that, right?
Rule #4 : Don't go near the CEO's office .
Rule #5 : Don't be curious.
Well for some reason, you can't find any photo of the CEO online no matter how hard you try. If the rules says don't be curious, then don't. It's best that you don't know anything.
"Ms. Autumn, I would like you to memorized the rules i have given you. You MUST strictly obey the rules, so that you won't have any problems. Are we clear?"
"Crystal" she's Ava, secretary of the CEO and representative of Legis De Saltu Corp. She's good-looking. She have a body to die for, which i don't feel insecure about, i have mine as well to be honest. And her eyes, It's like, she can see everything. Every one.
It has been already 3 hours since Ava left me. I can't say I'm bored because honestly, i kinda enjoy being alone while I'm working. No one's bothering me. No one's asking me questions i don't even want to answer. Like, what's your name. How old are you. Do you have a boyfriend. Stuffs like that. Well, i honestly believe in the saying 'No Man is an Island'. I knew i needed someone to help me with my new work. I need new friends. I have to have a friend.
Thankfully enough, after months of working here in Legis De Saltu Corp. I've earned quite a good friends. To name them all, there's Peter, Milky and surprisingly Ava. Maybe because we're on the same floor.
Peter is the exclusive IT personnel of the CEO. He's the only one allowed to enter the CEO's office. He's also the head of the entire IT Department.
Milky is the receptionist in our floor. No one can go up on our floor without informing him..yes.. him. He's gay. And its a shame, i like him. I told him i like him and he almost puke. He doesn't like me liking him. He's real name is Michael. He's maybe
gay but boy, you can't bring him down. He's so masculine.
And then there's Ava... Strong independent woman on the outside but clumsy, sweet and clingy on the inside. I never thought we would hang along like this. We maybe friends now but she keeps her mouth shut whenever i ask what's the CEO looks like. Does the other employees saw him before. Is he old or young. I'm asking if he's ugly and she would say, very. That's the only answer i can get from her.
"So thats the reason why he doesn't want his employees to see him?"
"Maybe or maybe not." Ava's back at it again. Avoiding questions regarding the mighty ceo.
"You know what? He had tons of money! Why can't he just let the doctors do their jobs and fix his face. He's the only CEO in this entire country that's not famous" it's stressing me out. Really. I searched the whole company for any single photo of him, but i can't find one.
"If only he could, he would. The thing is, sometimes money is not everything. Money can't save you from everything. You better hurry up eating that noodles, lunch break is almost over. Gotta go!"
"It's Carbonara! Not noodles!"
"Whatever you say darling!" And she hurriedly ride the elevator going up with a wide smile on her face.
"Hey! You done?"
"Yo! Pete! Yes almost. I have to head back upstairs. Ava's giving me a hard time."
"Little lolita's in a bad mood?" It's his pet name for Ava. He likes her and she knew but she refuses every single time Peter asked her for a date. Coward!
"Nope. She want's me to finish every job she gave me so we can go out early. There's a newly open club at the corner of our building we wanted to visit later tonight."
"Can i come?"
"No problem with me if, and only if, you'll take Michael with you." I laughed at my evil plan. I can make him a man for sure.
"Nuh-uh darling! I had plans tonight! And don't call me Michael! Michael's long dead! The name is Milky" and then he flip his imaginary long hair. And walked out.
