Summary

"Due to some... trauma... you may not have your voice," I mouthed the next few words,' How long?' "A few years... possibly forever," I sat at my desk. Completely struggling. We had moved to Korea, to avoid the pathetic glances and the fragile glass treatment we had been given. Ever since I lost my voice. Tears stung my eyes. But I refused to let them fall. "Yongbuk? Fhakebsbs DJs NDB ends," I blinked, not understanding, raising an eyebrow. The teacher sighed, speaking in English," I asked if you were with us. Clearly, you are not. You'll be getting a tutor after this!!!" I nodded. Sorry. I signed a sign that was practically universal. She nodded," Good," And she went back to teaching, me drawing her out. Slowly I fell asleep. The dream was hell. Crashing, screams, silence. Metal twisting, screeching, nails on a chalkboard screamed its way through the air.

~~~Felix POV~~~

I was sitting on the table, in the doctor’s office.

He was speaking to me softly... as if he didn’t want to scare me...That only made things worse.

“Felix...”I raised an eyebrow.

“Due to some... trauma... you may not have your voice,”

I mouthed the next few words,'How long?'

“A few years... possibly forever,”

My jaw dropped.

Forever?

That... it couldn’t be true!!!

I was on my way to be somebody!!!

I was gonna rap, sing!!!

My voice can’t be gone forever!!!

Tears slid down my face.

I felt my mother’s arms wrap around me,” It’s okay ’lix... it’ll come back,”

I shook my head, no sound escaping my lips.

Even the sobs, shaking me...

Were silent.

Silent.

That’s how I’d live.

I’d live.

My life.

In.Silence.
