Oceans
Oceans. They were a wonderful phenomenon, a beautiful gifted creation which humans take for granted. A vast sea full of life. Many legends and myths, mysteries and questions surrounding this magnificent subject, all were yet to be proven.
Many people say oceans were haunted, caused many tragedies upon sail; others say it's majestic strength brought peace and good luck.
For her, she didn't care about any myth or legends encircling the ocean, she just loved it for its beauty. She appreciated how important the ocean was, like an ominous being, it was always there, wherever you went. Yes, she called called it the ominous ocean, for she loved it's great company.
There was never a day that she went without visiting the ocean. She sat, lonely and quietly, not reminiscing but rather pondering on silly little things. She loved it's calming conscience, the fluttering breezes which caused her long black hair to waver gorgeously.
Closing her small eyes, she left to a world of wonders. Her small little hideout. Away from humans...
Her name was Thuy. Given to her when she was first born and put up for adoption, she lived that name for the 18 years of her life. Or soon to be 18 anyways. She was graceful, a mature girl; she always wanted space and time to do her own thing.
Her appearance was just as graceful as her name with her jet black long hair lengthening to her waist and her small face with almost timid lips. She never met her birth parents, but she lived a good life with her foster parents. They have her the love she needed and a sweet little sister recently.
Today was like any other day for her, straight after college, she went home to get dressed and go to the ocean. Secluding herself once more so that she couldn't see the outside world, she began to meditate. However what she didn't realise was that, even sat up on the grey rock, the tide came in quickly. Soon, water began to run closer and closer.
Yet, the unthinkable happened!
As soon as it reached withing a meter of her body, it split! Instead of touching her, it formed a small path around her by which the water then flowed naturally behind her.
Although, she was still not even noticing what was going on.
Dawn began to fall, and the tide soon returned to it home. The sun began to move its way to let room for the moon, in the mean time tinting the sky with gorgeous coral hues. The ocean some had small mirrored images of the sun, absolutely breathtaking to look at, while bright white seaguls roamed the skies elegantly.
The coast was a lonely place, rather the village itself was a lonely place where fewer than 500 habitants lived.
But she loved it, she thought.
Now, as night approached, just before the sky turned pitch black, she made her way home, absolutely oblivious of the unknown phenomenon which happened to occur to her today.
Hell, not even a phenomenon but something ABSOLUTELY unheard of.
She was soon to find out.
