ODDWORLD: A Completely Different Story and Unexpected Journey

The Unclassical Beginning

The year 2018 in the center of Tokyo, a man who will change his life or perhaps a world is walking. In the streets of Tokyo, in a secluded alley, on its broad daylight, a woman shouted, ” Help me! someone help me!“. ” Just give me your cellphone and your money and we won’t hurt you”. The young woman cries and begs for help but no one seems to hear or perhaps nobody wanted to help. In this year, law and enforcement aren’t at the top of justice but criminals who are abundant. Even if the city shows prosperity, organized crimes are common.

A sound of footsteps echoes in the alleyway and when the thugs looked behind, they saw a man. With his hands on his pocket, he calmly said, ” Stop it”. Enraged, the thug said ” Who the hell are you?“, then points the gun to the young man. The other thugs laugh but the young man smirked unfazed by the gun. With the girl still cornered by one of the thugs with a knife, the laughter stopped. The thug with a gun approached and walked calmly and slowly points the gun to the young man’s head.

The distance of the muzzle and the young man’s head is only slightly apart from making a contact. The young man grins even more. The thug pointing the gun said, ” What the hell is your problem!“.

" You think I’ll not shoot!? because it’s broad daylight?“, the thug sarcastically said. The young mans’ grinning stopped. When the thug looked away and said, ” This guys’ become shitless scared!“, the young man instantly holds the gun tightly along with the thugs’ hand. Baffled and shocked the thug tried to pull away from the gun away from the man but he can’t. The other thugs were confused while the other struggles to pull out the gun from the young mans’ hold. With using both of his arms to take away the gun forcefully, he relaxed in a second unintentionally with his other hand beside his waist then suddenly, the young man pulled the gun towards his head with the muzzle touching his forehead. The thug returned back his hand in the gun instantaneously trying to pull out the gun. The young man looked maniacally together with his grin and spoke, ” Isn’t this what you want?“, while leaning closer and closer to the thug forcing him to step back. He seconded, ” Come on, do it! do it!“. He chanted repeatedly those words with his eyes fixed on the thug while pushing him. Distressed and insulted, the thug furiously tightens his grip and smiles.

" Die!“, he said while clicking the trigger but nothing happened. Panicked, he clicked again and again until he noticed. The young man maniacally laughs then reversed the gun forcefully. He pointed the gun and clicks. He shot the thug. A loud bang can be heard throughout the street.

With his hand still holding the gun and standing still, the blood drips from his head down to his shirt. He loses his grip and fell. The young man holds the gun while the thugs were stunned by the sudden turn of events. One of the thugs immediately took out his knife and fiercely attack the young man but he was shot in an instant. When the young man shot, the other thug tried to land a blow but he was able to dodge than in an instant when the thug missed, he points the gun beside his head and shoot. Through the commotion, the last thug grabbed the immobilized woman in the back and points a blade in his neck. The frightened thug shouted, ” Don’t shoot or I’m going to kill her”. Without hesitation, the young man points the gun from the distance then shoots. The thug had a hole in his head. The bullet grazed the ear of the woman. The body started to fall with his loosened hand slightly holding the blade and grazed the woman’s’ neck.

In the alley, where one woman sits oddly and four dead bodies lying with blood. The young man walks out from the alley where the sirens of police can be heard from a distance.

The first thug who was shot was late to know that the reason he can’t shoot was that the young man was holding the hammer of the revolver. From the investigation of detectives, and footage of CCTV’s the case came into a dead end. The man who shot the burglars was never been found.

In the maximum security outside of Japan, where the criminals were put to wait for their death, a certain prisoner who was known for terrorizing an entire country alone resides on one of the cages. August of 2018, he escaped. With only two days of imprisonment, he managed to escape killing a total of twenty-seven prisoners, and six policemen. According to news, the prison was set into a blaze of fire. The reason was that they were infiltrated by an unknown attacker. The death row inmate was never been found.

January of 2018, after the ASEAN meeting that includes leaders around the globe, the president of the United States of America during his flight after the meeting, went missing. The security was in panic from the sudden disappearance that it raises a lot of concerns. The investigations led into countless assumptions like an assassination attempt, possible kidnap for ransom, and even aliens. In the end, the true cause of the disappearance remained open.

The man who will be the next victim of these unprecedented unknown cases of disappearance was walking. Outside the Shibuya station, the man who will unfold his journey of sudden misadventure has yet to start.

Seimen who is also better known as Sei was in the middle of the crossing. Looking back and forth, he said, ” Wait, I think that should be the way, where is it?“.

" I should hurry, the people are almost finished crossing, by the time, I’ll be the only one left in the middle”, he thought.

Sei murmured, ” left, right, left, right, lef-“, but suddenly his attention was caught by a loud bang. Sei looked at the direction where he instinctively heard the sound. He based his direction of where he was going from the sound he heard. With the crowd dispersing, he ran on where he heard the sound. The sound of gunfire continued the second time and by every time it shot, Sei was getting closer and closer.

Seimen wasn’t also just known to attract trouble but he also has some characteristics that make him weirder. He spends most of his time watching and playing games which resulted in academic problems. Today, Seimen was supposed to live on his own by finding the address that he had. However, due to his own idiocy, he’s lost.

The sound of gunfire continued to be heard by Sei getting louder and louder. By the time Sei heard the fourth gunshot, he was already near the source. While he was running, he met an odd man. He was tall and pale. Out of Sei’s curiosity, he stared at the man that came from an alley. The man paid no attention to him with a serious look on his face. Sei continued to run until he slows down just as when he’s beside an alley. There, he looked and saw the lying bodies with a lady in the middle. He walked with fear knowing that the bodies are already dead. He approached the seemingly traumatized woman with his shoes soaked in blood. He stepped closer knowing that his shoes will get blood from the ground. He reached his hand to the woman and said, ” You need help?“.

Sei knowing the dead bodies around him, still continued to approach the girl with the ulterior motive of knowing her number. He thought, ” Woah, this girl’s cute”. Truly an odd person as if the incident is irrelevant and only caught up in his approach to the girl. The girl looked at her with her tears still dripping. Then, a police car showed up.

Sei was asked various questions regarding the incident. In the end, the police were convinced that he has nothing to do to the incident. Before leaving, Sei cuts a piece of paper from the polices’ officers note. The police officer said, ” Hey what are you doing!?“, while Sei quickly wrote his number and said, ” Here’s my number beautiful lady!“, then he exits. The policemen looked at him distrustful until he exited. It’s gloaming when he finally found his place.

" Geez, it’s sure a tiring day. Glad to finally found this place”. He changed his clothes and went to the bathroom. ” Perhaps I’m going to take a bath now”.

He opened the shower but no water came out. ” What? no water? uh”. He closed and opened it again but it still doesn’t have water. He decided to go outside to get some fresh air. When he blinked, he found himself in a dark place. Total darkness as if he was not able to open his eyes. He said, ” hello? where am I?“, but no one replied. The second he noticed was the stink. He hurried to find a way to escape and so he reached out his until he touched something. He pushed it and he found a hole above him. He jumped to the slightly bright hole until he managed to hold. He forcefully lifted himself up and there he saw an unexpected view.
