Summary

A short story I've wanted to write for a while exploring the philosophical problems of rising to power, playing God, and artificial intelligence. Julian works a dead-end job with no prospect of happiness besides the desire to murder his boss. Upon finding some second-hand books, he falls in love with coding, leading him to create the world of Hermansphere. However, when things start happening without his doing, Julian soon finds out that being omnipotent isn't as easy as it seems.

Editor’s Note

This diary was found among the ruins of Julian Elliot’s house. Originally believed to be fiction, we now know it to describe the birth of the artificial intelligence we use today.

All text is in its original state. Some sheets were lost; either torn out or heavily damaged. If this is the case, then the symbol [x] has been printed.
