Everyone knows Heartbreak City. The red clouds, the burning hearts of the people they once loved. Full of sadness, I've been to Heartbreak City once.
I know Heartbreak City.
I know the way how people walk in shame in the streets because they are too afraid to know the truth.
No one had the confidence to love them.
To free them from Heartbreak City.
I had a love once.
She was my burning angel.
When she looked at me with those tiger eyes I knew she was the one that was going to break my heart.
Isn't that the goal of love? You love someone and give them 100% yet they give you 50%.
This was a year ago. Her short red hair had caught me by the throat and strangled me until I couldn't breathe anymore.
She left me.
Left me in the dust.
I couldn't breathe.
I couldn't sleep.
I couldn't eat.
I couldn't love her anymore.
I was in Heartbreak City now.
I had to go through the depths of Hell just to realize she didn't love me anymore.
I walked in the lonely streets and found her crying with her crystal tears.
The crystals seem to shine as I walked forward.
This seems familiar but different. A dream inside a dream.
A heart inside the fire that burned with passions with love.
I felt her tell-tale heart pounce as she hugged me with her dagger arms.
No. This isn't what my love has to be.
Selfish, cruel, backstabbing love that took without giving.
I pushed her sharp edges and walked away, leaving a trail of red dust behind me.
She tried to call me back with love, but the love she gave was my own.
I left Heartbreak City that day. I left and never turned back to the Hell I've been through.
Now, Heartbreak City is in ruins of the unloved ones who had a chance.
A chance that I didn't cherish enough.
