Bars and Scars
The smoke in this bar was enough to choke anyone human or not. I scanned the little bar looking for Troy. It wasn't big or anything special, it had liquors lined up along one wall with a oak bar stretching the length of the wall. Shabby stools for patrons to perch on and fall off later after getting beyond drunk. The walls were a dark brown with forest green trim. Dim lights made it alittle hard to see through the smoke but nothing my werewolf eyesight couldn't handle. Avery and Ivory were bartending tonight my favortie twins. I pushed my way to the bar gently so as not to send a drunk flying.
"Hey Avery." I shouted.
The lithe blonde turned her head and smiled. Avery was a very attractive woman. She stood 5'6 long blonde hair that stopped at the middle of her back with hot pink streakes throughout. Her body was slender with toned muscles. The only difference with Ivory was her hair instead of blonde was a chestnut brown with red streakes.
"Lanie! Hey girl!"
"Have you seen Troy?"
"Ah..gotta fight tonight then?"
"Yea Kris too."
"Oooo...he is sooo hot! Damn wish I could get into the cage with him!" Avery wiggled her eyebrows suggestivly while fanning herself.
"I bet." I smirked and rolled my eyes shaking my head.
"Anyway Troys in his office. Oh heads up I think he wants to talk to you and Kris about joining us." Avery gave a pointed look.
I shrugged and headed for the stairs at the back of the bar.
Honestly I really didn't want to join another pack. My father and mother were Alpha and Luna in our old pack and Kris's father was the Beta. My Alpha blood would make it hard to take orders and I admitted I didn't want to try. We were happy by ourselves we had freedom, and didn't have responsibility to anyone. Hell I didn't even want a mate. I climbed the stairs and walked into Troy's office clearing my throat.
"Ah Lanie what brings you here?"
"Why else would I be here?"
"Right. Well sit down make yourself at home." Troy gestured towards the couch. I walked over and plopped down crossing my legs. Studing the man infront of me carefully. He was handsome his jet black hair was tuffed naturally and it made his green eyes pop. Sharp defined features structured his face and gave him a hard look. His suit strained against his well built body and his 6'2 framed somehow seemed cramped behind his desk. I inwardly chuckled at the thought. Troy folded his hands on his desk leaning forward.
"Lanie you have a 5 grand fight tonight with Arsenal. I've placed a double or nothing on one round."
"I can do that. What about Kris?"
"His fight is against Titan it's a high bet fight too."
"He can do it. What time and where?"
"Starts at 10 and Kris goes first. It's here at the pit. Oh and Lanie please consider my offer for you and Kris. It's not healthy for young promising wolves to be packless."
I nodded and stood shaking his hand and I left.
It was only around 7pm so I stopped by the pizza place and grabbed two pies. I mindlinked Kris when I was outside the house to get the door. Kris answered the door with a smirk. I walked in sitting the pizza on the coffee table, plopping down on the couch next to Kris. I flipped the lid open and we both dug in.
"Sup buttercup?" Kris said popping the p.
"We're going dancing."
"Ooooh yeah....who's my partner?"
"You got Titan. I've got Arsenal. Apparently we're high bets. You up for it?"
"Bring it on." Kris grinned.
"Well we better get ready then it starts at 10 in the pit." I smiled at him.
I finished my pizza and headed up to my room. I quickly took a shower and dried off throwing on my black sports bra and black spandex shorts. I walked into my bedroom and sat on my bed grabbing the tape off the nightstand I started wrapping up my hands like a boxer. When I finished I slipped on my black Nike trainers and stood in front of the full length mirror taking in my appearance. I was only 5'3, short by werewolf standards but my body was lean, full bust, with curves that could kill and well toned with muscle. I had a firm six pack and well defined arms and legs which were decorated with tattoos. My left calf had a tribal wolf sitting and howling at full moon. Starting on the right side of my breast down to my hip was black roses with thorns and leaves intertwined. My left collarbone had a swallow across it stopping on my shoulder. I pulled my ash blonde hair with teal streaks into a tight bun. My diochromatic eyes were by far my most noticed feature. The left a colbolt blue and the right a deep vine green I inherited both my parents eye colors. With one final check I turned snatching my favorite black zipup hoodie off the chair slipping it on. It had white folded angel wings on the back and a deep hood to hide my face. Kris was downstairs by the front door waiting he looked up when he heard me coming. His eyes swept over me and he let out a low growl of approval. I blushed and shook my head as I zipped the hoodie shut.
" Looking good Lanie." Kris smirked his hazel eyes darkening slightly.
"Down boy." I giggled. "Don't look half bad yourself."
Kris was attractive, I wasn't going to denie it. His hair a light chestnut brown, hazel eyes, sharp jawline, full pink lips, sculpted body and drool worthy muscles. He was currently dressed in a black tank top and red tap out shorts.
"Ready to go short stuff."
I rolled my eyes and flipped up my hood.
"Yeah let's go Romeo."
Little did we know everything was about to change.
